In the last two decades, African governments and the globule health community have formulated policies, designed programmes and allocated funding for the delivery of health services, health system strengthening and monitoring of MDG indicators based on the perceptions of the characteristics of a good health system. The integrated approach is required for successful intervention and sustainable impact on health system.

The document proposes a project to analyze and address challenges that Southeast Asian youth may face from increased integration under the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). In 2014-2015, the Ebola epidemic underscored an urgent need for greater attention to the needs of local frontline health workers in West Africa and worldwide. Although not oriented as an emergency response advocacy alliance, the FHWC membership mobilized to simultaneously spotlight local frontline health workers needs in West Africa and call for greater attention to the centrality of well trained and supported frontline health workers to building resilient health systems from the community level.

Every month an 'Infectious Minds' sessionis held for two hours via a videoconference link across the four sites. On 15th May 2014 Gordon Otieno Odundo was the Guest Speaker presenting on infectious diseases in children the venue was at the University of Nairobi Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases, College of Health Sciences, Kenyatta National Hospital. The audience was primarily Doctoral (PhD) and Post-Doctoral students across the four sites; from Basic Science and Social Science disciplines.

The health and safety of employees and contractors is a key consideration for any mining operation anywhere in the world. However, in a sustainable mining context these considerations cannot terminate at the front gate – the health and wellbeing of people in the communities surrounding mining operations are crucial for the success of the operations themselves.
Critical health issues facing communities vary around the world and how these issues are addressed also varies. What is consistent is the need to consider how the projects are affected by the local environments and the impacts projects may have on communities. And this must be done at every stage of the project lifecycle, from early exploration to resettlement and decommissioning.
Public health should be integral to any mining operation. The contexts in which projects are located generate health challenges that can have serious repercussions on the projects themselves, such as the current ebola outbreak in West Africa. At the same time, public health considerations should be the cornerstone of any corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. If well-conceived these programs can contribute to local development but often the existing health systems and regulations are not clearly understood

Στο μείζον θέμα της πρόληψης στον τομέα της υγείας αλλά και τις νέες προκλήσεις που προκύπτουν έκανε λόγο ο ευρωβουλευτής του ΕΛΚ και ιδρυτικό στέλεχος της Δημοκρατικής Συμμαχίας κ. Θόδωρος Σκυλακάκης σε εκδήλωση με θέμα
«Πρόληψη: στρατηγική επιλογή για την πολιτική δημόσιας υγείας στην Ελλάδα και την Ε.Ε.».
Σύμφωνα με τον έλληνα ευρωβουλευτή «όλοι είναι υπέρ της πρόληψης, στο τέλος όμως κανείς δεν ενδιαφέρεται να πάρει πρωτοβουλίες». Ωστόσο ο κ. Σκυλακάκης τόνισε ότι «δεν είναι ελληνικό αλλά ευρωπαϊκό φαινόμενο».
Παράλληλα έκανε λόγο για τις νέες προκλήσεις που έχουμε να αντιμετωπίσουμε όπως η γήρανση του πληθυσμού, η υπόθεση του ανθρώπινου γονιδιώματος αλλά και οι δυνατότητες που έχει το marketing στον τομέα της πρόληψης.
Όσον αφορά το ανθρώπινο γονιδίωμα (αποτελείται από το σύνολο των γονιδίων ενός οργανισμού και κατευθύνει την φυσική ανάπτυξη και την συμπεριφορά του), ο κ. Σκυλακάκης ανέφερε ότι σε 3-4 χρόνια θα υπάρχει η δυνατότητα εξέτασης γονιδιωμάτων με 100 δολάρια.
Στην εκδήλωση ήταν καλεσμένος και ο βουλευτής του ΠΑΣΟΚ και καθηγητής στο London School of Economics κ. Η. Μόσιαλος, ο οποίος όμως δεν κατάφερε να παρευρεθεί λόγω της κακοκαιρίας.

However, in a sustainable mining context these considerations cannot terminate at the front gate – the health and wellbeing of people in the communities surrounding mining operations are crucial for the success of the operations themselves.
Critical health issues facing communities vary around the world and how these issues are addressed also varies. What is consistent is the need to consider how the projects are affected by the local environments and the impacts projects may have on communities. And this must be done at every stage of the project lifecycle, from early exploration to resettlement and decommissioning.
Public health should be integral to any mining operation. The contexts in which projects are located generate health challenges that can have serious repercussions on the projects themselves, such as the current ebola outbreak in West Africa. At the same time, public health considerations should be the cornerstone of any corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. If well-conceived these programs can contribute to local development but often the existing health systems and regulations are not clearly understood

Στο μείζον θέμα της πρόληψης στον τομέα της υγείας αλλά και τις νέες προκλήσεις που προκύπτουν έκανε λόγο ο ευρωβουλευτής του ΕΛΚ και ιδρυτικό στέλεχος της Δημοκρατικής Συμμαχίας κ. Θόδωρος Σκυλακάκης σε εκδήλωση με θέμα
«Πρόληψη: στρατηγική επιλογή για την πολιτική δημόσιας υγείας στην Ελλάδα και την Ε.Ε.».
Σύμφωνα με τον έλληνα ευρωβουλευτή «όλοι είναι υπέρ της πρόληψης, στο τέλος όμως κανείς δεν ενδιαφέρεται να πάρει πρωτοβουλίες». Ωστόσο ο κ. Σκυλακάκης τόνισε ότι «δεν είναι ελληνικό αλλά ευρωπαϊκό φαινόμενο».
Παράλληλα έκανε λόγο για τις νέες προκλήσεις που έχουμε να αντιμετωπίσουμε όπως η γήρανση του πληθυσμού, η υπόθεση του ανθρώπινου γονιδιώματος αλλά και οι δυνατότητες που έχει το marketing στον τομέα της πρόληψης.
Όσον αφορά το ανθρώπινο γονιδίωμα (αποτελείται από το σύνολο των γονιδίων ενός οργανισμού και κατευθύνει την φυσική ανάπτυξη και την συμπεριφορά του), ο κ. Σκυλακάκης ανέφερε ότι σε 3-4 χρόνια θα υπάρχει η δυνατότητα εξέτασης γονιδιωμάτων με 100 δολάρια.
Στην εκδήλωση ήταν καλεσμένος και ο βουλευτής του ΠΑΣΟΚ και καθηγητής στο London School of Economics κ. Η. Μόσιαλος, ο οποίος όμως δεν κατάφερε να παρευρεθεί λόγω της κακοκαιρίας.

The initial Global Health Initiative was launched by Kofi Annan at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forumin 2002. Annan stated that the GHI's mission was to engage businesses in public-private partnerships to tackle HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and health systems.[citation needed]
Examples of GHIs are the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund), and the World Bank's[citation needed]
PEPFAR – an initiative established in 2003 by the Bush Administration – and PEPFAR II (PEPFAR's successor in 2009 under the Obama Administration[2]) are bilateral agreements between the United States and a recipient of its development aid for HIV/AIDS – typically an international non-government organisation INGO or a recipient country's government. The Global Fund, established in 2002, and the GAVI Alliance, launched in 2000, are public-private partnerships that raise and disburse funds to treat AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and for immunization and vaccines. The World Bank is an International financial institution. It is the largest source of funding for HIV/AIDS within the United Nations system and has a portfolio of HIV/AIDS programmes dating back to 1989.[3] In 2000, the Bank launched the first phase of its response to HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa – the Multi-Country AIDS Program (MAP). This came to an end in 2006 when a second phase – Agenda for Action 2007-11 – came into effect.[4]
Functions
In terms of their institutional structure, GHIs have little in common with each other. In terms of their function – specifically their ability to raise and disburse funds, provide resources and coordinate and/or implement disease control in multiple countries – GHIs share some common ground, even if the mechanisms through which each of these functions is performed are different.[5]

Tracking funding from GHIs poses challenges.[7] However, it is possible to determine the amounts of funding GHIs commit and disburse from sources such as the OECD CRS online database, as well as data provided by individual GHIs (Figure 1).
Since 1989, the World Bank has committed approximately US$4.2bn in loans and credits for programs, and has disbursed US$3.1bn. Of this total, the Bank's MAP has committed US$1.9bn since 2000. Through bilateral contributions to HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis programmes and donations to the Global Fund, PEPFAR has donated approximately US$25.6bn since 2003. In July 2008, the U.S. Senate re-authorised a further US$48 bn over five years for PEPFAR II, of which US$6.7bn has been requested for FY 2010. During the period 2001–2010, donors have pledged US$21.1bn to the Global Fund, of which US$15.8bn has been paid by donors to the Fund. Gavi has approved US$3.7bn for the period 2000-2015[8]

During Kevin's colonoscopy, the provider discovered polyps. The polyps were removed. And the pathology report reveals cancer. Tertiary prevention is the process of intervention and treatment.
It involves managing the disease post-diagnosis to slow or stop disease progression. Kevin's story illustrates an example of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention, including interventions for each level of prevention.

This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
