This document describes a Personal Learning Environment (PLE) portal created by Therese Michael to help her navigate and learn in "web-two-ville". The PLE contains various social tools organized into tabs: Kiosk, Identify, Organize, Socialize, and Knit it All. The goal is to explore social networks, learn how to use different tools, and maximize their use in daily life. After using the PLE, the learner will be able to identify tool usages, communicate within communities, and understand social network protocols.

When I found myself lost in the web-
two-ville, I decided to do something
to survive in the internet!

5. Solution = PLE
My solution was to design a Personal
Learning Environment (PLE) to both
understand the web-two-ville laws
and protocols, and to engage with
other users virtually.

• Academic
• Not so interested in technology
• Not so interested in socializing
• Open to learning
• Learn by doing

8. Portal’s Goal Statement
My goal of this portal is to explore the
hideouts and the paths of the social
network and to learn how to make a
maximum use of its tools in my daily life.

9. My Learning Objectives
After designing the PLE, I will be able to:
Identify the different usages of each social tool and its
applications (Attitude)
Use the social networks satisfactorily and communicate
with communities of other users (Skill)
Know the social networks and act according to the
protocols of each tool (Knowledge)
