2. • Considerations: There are lots of things to consider in this project. Fill out each section in detail to show you have thought
about each one. You should imagine that this is a live project, so considerations like cost, quantity and codes of practice
must be thought about in that context rather than just as a college project.
• Costs: There will be no cost in making my work in the room where I will be using the computer. However I am taking some
images with my own camera in my spare time this is because I want to get some images of different scenery, the only thing
that will cost me is the travel to the places where I will be capturing images.
• Available resources: I think that an available resource is the computers at college and also my own camera this is available,
as I do not have to pay for them but I can use them at any time over the two weeks production.
• Quantity: I will start my book as free book with certain things like kindles and apple products, than if the book finds its feet
and it is getting in high demand I will start selling the book. I will sell the book in bookstores and stores like that so I can still
have the print version on the market as well as the kindle and apple version.
• Audience and Target Market: My target audience is children aged 6 to 10 this is because this book is a historical book and
any younger would mean my audience wouldn’t be as large. I think that the book should also appeal to the parents of the
children, as they will usually be the ones buying it for their children.
• Quality Factors: Things that will effect the book will be things like not being in during the production period, but this can be
made up if I miss a day I will just come in earlier on a different day and make up for the time I missed. Also distractions like
and getting off track so if I concentrate on something for too long like a character I can miss good time too be making new
and different pages. Not planning my work well enough before hand will also affect my work and the quality of it, as I will
keep changing my mind. However I have planned all the work and I do not think that this will affect my work .
• Codes of Practice: The codes of practice is applied to people under agreements which a person signs or licences an interest
in copyright of the work to the publisher. This does not apply to people who have invested money into the published piece.
• Regulation: My book is not going to be a toy so I do not have any measures or practices I will have to meet. My book will
not be a toy as it doesn’t have any pop ups or any type of interactive things in it.
• Copyright: In some parts of the publishing I could use other peoples pictures, if I do not change them or only change them
slightly hen there could be a copyright issue. This is because there will be a amount that the person who owns the image
has done to make that picture their own and if I used that then I would be stealing someone else’s work and the whole book
wouldn’t be my own.
• Ethical Issues: I do not think there will be any ethical issues with my book, I is just a book on Greek myths and I do not think
this will make any ethical issues or any type of moral issues for anybody.

• A successful project relies on good planning. Considering all the resources you will need for a
project and then assessing which you already have and which you need will help ensure you are
ready to start your project.

5. • Your health and safety and that of those around you is very important. Just like in industry, an
accident could prevent you from working. Whilst we don’t work in a highly dangerous environment,
there are still risks. Some are short term, such as trips and spillages whilst others, such as long term
damage to eyesight or back problems, may affect you much later in life.

• Consider the risks based on the activities you will be undertaking during the project. Explain how
you could prevent them from happening.
