components and the characters of nature.

process of acquiring and refining knowledge.
INCLUDING SCIENCE IN SCHOOL CURRICULUM
Till 18th century Science is not given much
importance. But later 18th century importance
of science is brought forward by many
scientist such as ROJER BACON, GILBERT,
TINDAL, FARADAY, BENAJAMIN
FRANKLIN, HERBERT SPENCER,
T.H.HUXLEY etc.
Among the scientist HERBERT SPENCER
initiated the importance of science in
curriculum and T.H. HUXLEY supported

COMENIUS (1592-1671) – Emphasized the
importance of correlation in teaching. He was
of the opinion that nothing can be taught in
isolation.
HERBERT – Students should have the feeling
that the subject taught in school have
something to do with the daily life.
