A young boy watches a horror movie alone at home. He sees strange figures in the darkness when he turns lights on and off. When he goes to his bedroom, the light goes out and his door opens on its own. He sees the figure of a young boy in the darkness who walks towards his bed. When he turns on the light, the boy disappears. Someone then taps him from behind, and he sees the boy again with blood on his hands.

Tony learned several lessons from receiving audience feedback on his film project. He found that he needed to expand his target audience beyond his initial ideas to make the film appealing to more people. Feedback from questionnaires helped him determine that the film should be in the slasher genre and feature a cunning or masculine killer. Reactions from focus groups provided constructive criticism that helped improve the promotional materials. Tony incorporated media technologies at every stage, from online research to filming and editing trailers and posters. He found that technologies made the process more efficient.

The document summarizes a student's media studies evaluation project on a documentary they created. It discusses:
1) The main task was a 5 minute documentary extract about a teenager named Maya dealing with cancer and completing her bucket list.
2) Research was conducted on documentary conventions by analyzing other films. Conventions like voiceovers, interviews, and close-ups were identified and either used or challenged in the student's documentary.
3) The documentary sought to both use typical documentary codes and conventions but also challenge some through techniques like first-person handheld camerawork and a unique opening title sequence.

This proposal is for a murder mystery movie called "Perils of a Party". The purpose is entertainment, with the goal of intriguing audiences enough to want to watch the film. Elements that would be included are a party guest being murdered, with other guests trying to figure out the culprit. Scenes would get progressively darker and more tense. The target audience is ages 15-40 of any gender, social class C2 through E. Some mild language and murder scenes would be included, but nothing too graphic or offensive. Younger viewers would need parental supervision. Care will be taken to avoid offending any groups and not infringe on any copyrights.

Evaluation Task 4 - who is your audience and what have you learned from them?hannahboardman
The document discusses research conducted on the target audience for a horror film trailer. It was found that the film should target both males and females, as there were only slight gender differences. However, there was a significant difference in opinions between younger and older people, so the target audience was identified as young adults. Research also found that supernatural horror was the most popular genre. The document then discusses theories around why audiences consume media and how they can be passive or active. It provides examples of how horror films may influence or manipulate certain audiences. Feedback on the created trailer showed that it was an effective horror trailer that made the intended audience want to see the full film.

Lily Ajaib is proposing a short film project titled "Present" to be completed by Week 18. The concept is a thriller about a girl receiving a puzzle box that contains threatening messages. Lily will document the process through a production diary and evaluate the final project. Research will include studying techniques for building tension from the works of David Lynch and examining how other films use elements like sound, lighting, and composition to create atmosphere. Pre-production will involve planning, storyboarding, and securing locations and equipment. Principal photography and editing will occur between Weeks 8-11, with evaluation and a presentation in the final weeks.

The document discusses the job seeker's search for employment in the film and media industries. They looked at entry-level positions at Black Revolver Films and a production job at the Sunderland esports centre, but noted issues with relocation costs and experience requirements. To gain more experience and qualify for higher paying jobs, the job seeker plans to research internships, such as the current social media intern vacancy at South Shields FC, which could help break into the industry.

The document discusses career research in the media production industry. It explores potential job opportunities at a company hiring for an esports broadcast position requiring 2-3 years experience, and an entry-level filmmaker position at a film company requiring a portfolio and passion for filmmaking. Most media production jobs require experience rather than qualifications. Gaining experience through entry-level roles like running is important to work up to higher level producer and director roles. While production jobs typically offer employment and salaries, freelance creative work is also common but less stable.
The document outlines a brief for creating promotional materials for the NHS to encourage healthy eating among 16-20 year olds. Research found that while most young people don't smoke, many don't eat their recommended daily fruits and vegetables or live healthy lifestyles. The creative response will include a print ad featuring young models eating healthy foods and a radio ad where a young person discusses benefits of healthy eating. Both will direct people to the NHS website for more support and information.

Causes Supporting Charity for Elderly PeopleSERUDS INDIA
Around 52% of the elder populations in India are living in poverty and poor health problems. In this technological world, they became very backward without having any knowledge about technology. So they’re dependent on working hard for their daily earnings, they’re physically very weak. Thus charity organizations are made to help and raise them and also to give them hope to live.

Good morning and welcome back to Energy Source, coming to you from New York, where the city swelters in its first heatwave of the season.
Nearly 80 million people were under alerts in the US north-east and midwest yesterday as temperatures in some municipalities reached record highs in a test to the country’s rickety power grid.
In other news, the Financial Times has a new Big Read this morning on Russia’s grip on nuclear power. Despite sanctions on its economy, the Kremlin continues to be an unrivalled exporter of nuclear power plants, building more than half of all reactors under construction globally. Read how Moscow is using these projects to wield global influence.
Today’s Energy Source dives into the latest Statistical Review of World Energy, the industry’s annual stocktake of global energy consumption. The report was published for more than 70 years by BP before it was passed over to the Energy Institute last year. The oil major remains a contributor.

New report offers sobering view of the energy transition
Every year the Statistical Review of World Energy offers a behemoth of data on the state of the global energy market. This year’s findings highlight the world’s insatiable demand for energy and the need to speed up the pace of decarbonisation.
Here are our four main takeaways from this year’s report:
Fossil fuel consumption — and emissions — are at record highs
Countries burnt record amounts of oil and coal last year, sending global fossil fuel consumption and emissions to all-time highs, the Energy Institute reported. Oil demand grew 2.6 per cent, surpassing 100mn barrels per day for the first time.
Meanwhile, the share of fossil fuels in the energy mix declined slightly by half a percentage point, but still made up more than 81 per cent of consumption.
2. The Brief
The client for this project is Sunderland Culture. They are hosting a
media exhibition called “Bright light: Northern Talent” which is a media
exhibition showcasing local media talent in the northeast. The
requirements for the exhibition are to make a short film or
documentary tied to the northeast. Personally, I like these constrains
because although they are specific, they still allow me to be free and
creative with my ideas for this.
3. My initial idea
My initial ideas is to make a short horror film, the
reason for this is because when I did some audience
research my audience was interested in horror films
and short films rather than a documentary. The main
idea I had for the film was to do a found footage style
film kind of like films like blair witch or rec
4. Furthering the idea
The plot I have thought of for the film is that is
follows 2 people who are making a youtube video
where they try to summon a spirit, they do it and
although they think it didn’t happen and nothing
worked however things escalate and bad things
end up happening to both characters
