ELECTRO GENRE:
STORY LINE AND PLOT
FOR OUR MUSIC VIDEO

  • Our music video idea starts off with a man around 18- 20
sitting on the street begging for money or change. He is in
quite scruffy clothes as he is living rough. Pedestrians walk by
and some put their spare change into his cup, but the young
man gets lucky as a very generous man puts in a twenty
      pound note.
  • The young man is very shocked and surprised and gets up
and walks around the corner and down an alley way.
  • Down the alley way another young man is standing there. He
is not in scruffy clothes and has his hood up. He is looking
      very suspicious.
  • The man down the alley way is a drug dealer and greets the
man that just received the twenty pound note.
Outline of music video plot.
• Some dialog is used here and this is the only dialog in the
  video.
• The homeless man asks the drug dealer ‘you got the gear’. The
dealer answers ‘yeah, this stuff will blow your mind’. The dealer
then hands the homeless man supposed drugs. There is a
close up on the exchange and it becomes clear to the viewer
that the dealer actually hands the homeless man a cd.
• The homeless man walks off with his purchase and puts the cd
into his cd player and puts his headphones on. There is then a
close up on his hand as he presses play on the cd player.
• As he presses play the music for the music video starts in sync.
The video then proceeds to follow the homeless man on a
trippy journey where he walks around his town.
Outline of music video plot
• The idea for this music video is to use the idea that music
is a drug and the electro techno song choice we made
  relates to this idea.
• We will use stop motion throughout when he is wearing
the headphones to give an ambiguous feel to the video.
• As the young intoxicated man walks around passers by
will look at him in disgust, this will show a representation
of age gaps, and the generalised view of the youth of
  today.
Iconography
• The iconography of this video. Is the headphones as we
believed it is quite a memorable symbol. We also want the
headphones to be a recurring symbol like dizzee rascals
face in his video. He uses this iconography on nearly all of
his merch and at his gigs, we believe the headphones are
a simple memorable symbol that can represent the music
 video and the song.
Hip hop Genre: Story line and plot.
• Outline of our second music video idea.
• The video is taken influence from Pharcyde’s video The drop.
• The video follows around a group of teenagers running through
their local town and park. Jumping off benches and causing
havoc. We also want to use stop motion to show them going
down sets of stairs on their stomachs.
• The video will be rewound to give an unusual feel just like The
    Pharcyde video.
• The fast paced upbeat lyrics will link in with the youthful feel.
• We believe the setting of a gritty grimy town will link in with the
feel of a hip hop video, without all the girls and fast cars.
• It will also give it a street vibe.

Takin Yo Time by Loveshadow
Verse 1:
One step at a time, no good living on the line
I don’t need a friend I got more than only mine
sunshine in my brain make you never want to blame
where are you in my heart, don’t be being so strange

Chorus:
Think im losing it, baby where have you been?
Everybody says that you're moving again
I don’t wanna go ride, baby every single night
But I can tell you one thing...im takin yo time!

Its making me nervous, oh yeah (x2)
Here we go
One step at a time
                         (x2)
