The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

6. Two main characters (other characters are Olivia and
Sara)
Name: Mallory
Role: Tour guide/Killer
Age: 17
Characteristics: as a tour guide she will be gentle, warm
and welcoming. As the killer, she will be violent, clear of
her goal, sinister.
Name: Sophia
Role: director of “film”
Age:15/16
Characteristics: wise, non- believer ( no such thing as
ghosts, evil spirit etc.).
7. Key scene 1: Scene opens with a tilt establishing
shot of the building. Film title fades in with
suspense music in the background. The camera
slowly tilts back down whilst you can hear
footsteps. The camera slowly zooms into a group
of girls giggling and laughing as they walk
through the entrance of the building. There is an
over the shoulder shot of the tour guide standing
in front of the girls. The tour guide introduces
herself and leads the tour of the building. A
Continuity shot is used to follow the characters
into the first room.
8. Key scene 2: Olivia gets a paper cut and the camera
zooms into her hand which is bleeding a little. She goes to
the bathroom to wash it off. Voyeurism is used here to
show Mallory watching her every move as she goes away
from her friends. On her way up the stairs she hears a
cry. The camera follows her behind and cuts away to the
position of Mallory. A mid shot is used to show Mallory
curled up with her ears between her knees and her arms
over her head covering her face. The camera focuses on
Olivia’s hand which slowly goes near Mallory, who then
grabs her with a non-diegetic sound in the background.
She drags Olivia by the legs which can be seen through a
close up of Mallory’s hands on Olivia’s ankles. There is a
diegetic sound of her fingernails scratching along the
floorboards. She screams as she goes through the doors,
followed by silence.
9. Key scene 3: Sara and Sophia get scared when
Olivia goes missing. Sara feels like she can’t
breathe so decides to go outside and get fresh
air. She leaves Sophia in the room and slowly
closes the door. Cross cutting is used showing
Sara going down the stairs and outside which the
camera slowly pans showing it is isolated. As the
camera follows her walking around outside, she
hears noises and stops. There is a point of view
shot when she tries to see where the noise is
coming from. The noise gets louder and Sara
starts to panic. As the camera revolves around
her, there is a non-diegetic sound of her panting
and a heartbeat sound. She drops to the floor
and her body language is closed. There is
complete silence. Sara looks up and sees
Mallory standing in front of her. Her hand goes
across the camera and goes black. There is a
wide shot of Mallory walking past the camera
leaving blood trails. The camera then focuses on
Sara who is lying on the floor.
10. Key scene 4: Sophia comes to realise that the script
that she had written has come to life. This can be
seen through a long shot of her looking down at her
script. The camera focuses on Sophia whilst there is
a blur effect of Mallory who is standing behind her.
The focus then changes. There is a two shot when
Sophia confronts Mallory. Non- diegetic sound is
used to show Sophia’s realisation that the killer is the
tour guide (followed by dialogue). There is an eyeline
matching to show Sophia glaring in awe at Mallory.
She slowly walks back and stumbles to the floor
panting and stuttering.
11. Key scene 5: There is a close up of Mallory’s face
before the camera cuts away to Sophia’s face and
back. The film pauses and the camera slowly zooms
out of the screen which appears to be in a theatre.
There is a medium shot of the audiences heads. The
screen goes pitch black for a few seconds and comes
back. The camera remains in the same position as
the film continues to play. The position in which
Mallory was in the film is no longer there. There is a
chatter amongst the audience. A spotlight comes on
with a girl standing in front of the screen. The camera
slowly zooms into the front of the screen were the
audience realise that it is the killer from the film.
There is a close up Mallory slowly looking up to the
audience. The camera slowly tilts down towards her
hand were she reveals a pocket watch from behind
her. There is a point of view shot from where Mallory
is standing looking towards the audience. The screen
goes black and there is a diegetic sound of the
audience screaming and people running whilst the
