2. Rationale:
Based on the NEAP L & D Manual, Quality Assurance,
Technical Assistance, Monitoring and Evaluation (QATAME) is
the fifth subsystem of the DepEd Learning and Development
System and is embedded in the four other sub-system. It is a
mechanism to ensures the attainment of all desired level of
quality of output of a certain deliverable. Quality Assurance is
defined as a process focused concept that ensures correct steps
are done while Technical Assistance provision is the sharing of
information, knowledge, expertise and skills to reach the desired
quality processes and expected outputs of a certain intervention
or program. Meanwhile, Monitoring is a systematic process of
collecting, analyzing and using information to track progress and
Evaluation is a systematic assessment of a program. This
QATAME is essential in measuring the success and progress of
one’s intervention, activity or program.
Instructional supervision is the process of assisting
teachers to improve teaching and learning processes and
situations. The instructional supervision is aimed to improve the
competencies or quality of teaching of teachers. The ultimate goal
of instructional supervision is to improve the process and
student learning outcomes. The improvement of teaching may
refer to the improvement of teaching strategies, teaching models,
teaching methods, teaching media, teaching materials, or other
components of the teaching-learning system. Several
instructional supervision techniques tend to be done a lot and
some are lacking to improve teacher teaching abilities.
Along with QATAME processes is the evaluation and review
of the implemented PPAs based on the targets of the CID for FY
2023. The conduct of the PIR is a substantial activity in order to
review and reflect on what has been done, not done and why it
wasn’t done. This would also give light to the office on what to
prioritize for the incoming year.
With these underlying principles, the Curriculum
Implementation Division proposes “CID FY 2023 YEAR-END
PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW CUM FY 2024
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND LEADERSHIP ENHANCEMENT”.
This is a combination of lectures, small group discussion
and brainstorming. CID Personnel shall be upskilled with the
new trends in conducting QATAME in a more purposeful, pro-
active and systematic way.
3. Objectives: 1. Review PPAs based on targets and accomplishments for
FY 2023
2. Strategize on the proposed PPAs for FY 2024
3. Upskill and enhance the QATAME skills of PSDSs, EPSs
and EPS-II, ALS in conducting monitoring and supervision
to schools and CLCs
4. Strengthen collaboration and support among CID
Personnel in implementing programs and projects
through open communication, sharing of best practices
and understanding one’s actions and responsibilities
Expected Final Outcome CID Personnel upskilled and enhanced with the necessary
strategies in conducting QATAME to schools and CLCs
