station?
• Pigs might be sucked into the line because of the ventury
effect. This will depend on various factor such as:
– Type of pump
– Pressure of transferred fluid
– Viscosity of transferred fluid
– Wear of the pig
– Material of the pig
– Lightening
21. Why use a pigstopper in the distribution
valve?
• We want a mechanical stopper to be sure of the position of
the pig in the line.
