WHAT EMOTIONAL IMPACT DO YOU WANT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY DO HAVE UPON
THE READER? HOW?
I want it to draw the reader in, I want my model to be looking
directly at the camera to connect with the audience even if they
look serious or playful. I will have the model in the center of the
shot mainly using a mid long shot just above the weights. The
emotion I want to create is excitement of buying this magazine and
seeing what is inside, I want a few sub images of the artist looking
casual having a good time so the audience don’t think they re
constantly being told how to pose.
WHAT PERSONNEL DO YOU NEED? WHO ARE YOU GOING TO PHOTOGRAPH?
WHAT PROPS WILL YOU NEED?
I don’t plan on using props I want my model to be focused
on the camera either with a serious expression or a playful
one. The props I could use would be a micro phone,
because it would show the artist doing there job. I could get
some musical instruments. A stool to take some shots of
them sitting down I could get some interesting angles with
some full body shots.
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO EMPHASISE COLOUR?
Because my models will be mainly dressed in dark casual
clothes I will have my models standing in front of a white
back ground an have the magazine of the title in bright text.
If the model has a tiny bit of colour on there clothes I could
link it with the sub head and text on the cover, or
deliberately have some connectivity between small amounts
of colour on the model and the text.
HAVE YOU BRIEFED YOUR PERSONNEL/MODELS?
I have told my models what will be happening on the shoot. When I sent he
message asking if they were fine with being my models it included what
types of clothes I would prefer they would wear and makeup style they both
got the same text so no confusion would happen on the day of the shoot, I
also sent them the email I received from colin which included times and
dates.
WHAT LIGHTING WILL YOU NEED? ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT?
I will used high key lighting nothing in shadows, by using high key lighting
you can see the expressions on the models and what they are wearing it
has a more welcoming feel as well. Also three point lighting will help them
stand out from the background even more.
WHERE WILL YOU SHOOT? WILL YOU NEED A BACKDROP?
The photo shoot will take place inside of a studio the back ground will be
white. The photo shoot will take place at Sunderland university. I emailed
Colin Young to book me in for using the photography studio.
MAKE-UP? COSTUME?
I looked at some KERRANG! Magazines mainly ones with females on the
front as I want my model to be female. I noticed the makeup on the
models is heavy on their eyes lots of eye liner and only some colour
used on there checks. Rock sound and KERRANG! Dress their models
in casual clothes mainly dark colours no bright flashy clothes to
contrast with these dark colours I will have my models standing in front
of a white back ground an have the magazine of the title in bright text.
