The photographer plans to take photos of a band for the cover and inside pages of a music magazine. They will take a variety of shots including long shots, mid shots, and close-ups from different angles and distances to portray the band's indie rock style. Photos will be taken against plain, white backgrounds under natural and artificial lighting. The photos will be edited in Photoshop to look professionally suited for a music magazine, with blemishes removed and cropping adjusted for page layouts. The goal is for the finished magazine to resemble popular music publications.

one fits the magazine the

up shots and high and low
angle shots.
I will take shots to convey
the youth of the band and
to convey the success the
band in the past months.
The different shots will also
link with the coverlines that
will be on cover of the
magazine.
Shots taken against
plain backgrounds to
be well lit and I will
use a flash if the room
is too dark without it.
This will give the
photos a more
professional look and
will help make the
photos and magazine
look like other
magazines.
I will take photos
using natural light to
see if the photos look
more professional or
less professional with
natural light.
I will use pale white
walls and take
photos against the
blank background
so it creates a
professional studio
look. By doing this
makes it easy to
read the Coverlines
around the
magazine.

use I will try out the
different areas I may put

page so that there is no

and slogan of the

center of the magazine
cover so that if stands out
on the magazine.
I will smooth blemishes on
the models, and I will fix
any shiny areas on the
models or on the
background.
I will use Photoshop to
adjust the photo to make
the photo look more like
it’s for a music magazine.
Crop around the image to
see how the photo will fit
right on to the magazine.
I want the magazine to
resemble other popular
music magazine that are
already out there so the
