El metacarpo constituye el esqueleto de la palma y dorso de la mano. Está formado por cinco huesos largos llamados metacarpianos, que se articulan superiormente con los huesos de la segunda fila del carpo e inferiormente con las falanges proximales de los dedos. - Tercer Metacarpiano: Su base se articula con el hueso grande, 2º y 4º metacarpianos.
