Melamine resin or melamine formaldehyde is a hard, thermosetting plastic material made from melamine and formaldehyde by polymerization. The presentation includes the preparation of MF, its properties and applications.
poly styrene is a synthetic aromatic polymer made from the monomer styrene. Polystyrene can be solid or foamed. General purpose polystyrene is clear, hard, and rather brittle. It is an inexpensive resin per unit weight. polystyrene is in a solid (glassy) state at room temperature but flows if heated above about 100 °C, its glass transition temperature. It becomes rigid again when cooled .
Plastics has been evolving now a days. Our lives has been filled with plastics. Almost all of our things are made of plastics but do you what it is and what it is made of?
One of the most common and widely used plastic is polyethylene or PE with the resin codes 2 and 4. It is mostly used as plastic bags, food wraps, bulletproof vest, pipes and so many more. Here is a little preview of polyethylene and what is its purpose in our daily lives.

This presentation is about the basics of Urea Formaldehyde. In This presentation you will find the basic method of preparing urea formaldehyde, applications of urea formaldehyde, general properties of urea formaldehyde and some latest research on urea formaldehyde.
Production of Urea Formaldehyde UF85. Start Own Industry of Urea Formaldehyde.
UFC-85 is a viscous liquid containing 60% formaldehyde, 25% urea and balance water. Formaldehyde is first produced by the reaction of methanol with air. This is then absorbed in urea solution to form UFC-85.
Urea formaldehyde is the very common chemical and is mostly used because of its chemical properties. Examples are textiles, paper, foundry sand molds, wrinkle resistant fabrics, cotton blends, rayon, corduroy, etc. also used to glue wood together. Urea-formaldehyde (UF), also known as urea-methanal, so named for its common synthesis pathway and overall structure, is a non-transparent thermosetting resin or polymer. It is produced from urea and formaldehyde.

Waste to Wealth-Value Recovery from Agricultural and Industrial Biomass Resid...Ajjay Kumar Gupta
Waste to Wealth-Value Recovery from Agricultural and Industrial Biomass Residues. Furfural from Lignocellulosic Biomass. Production of Furfural from Sugarcane Bagasse and Corncobs.
The concept of waste as a material “which has no use” is changing to that of seeing waste as a resource by converting into secondary material with modification. Wastes can thus be converted into useful resources used at home or even sold for wealth. Waste recycling involves the collection of discarded materials such as Sugarcane Bagasse, Corncobs etc and processing these materials, and turning them into new products.

LDPE is formed from ethylene at a high pressure of 1500-3000 atmosphere at a temperature range of175-250oC in presence of some oxygen, peroxide, or azocompounds as initiators.
LDPE has nearly 20–50 branches (both long and short branches) per 1000 linear carbon atoms in the chain molecules.
The loss of molecular symmetry due to the high degree of branching results in a lower density range (0.915–0.94 g/cm3 ) and lower softening or melting temperature.
LDPE dissolves in toluene at or above 60°C.HDPE is usually more resistant to chemicals than LDPE.
HDPE is soluble in toluene at 900C.
2–5 short branches or side chains per 1000 carbon atoms in the main chain, thus having a higher density range (0.945–0.96) and high melting temperature (125–130°C) compared to LDPE. HDPE-The polymerization at a low temperature and pressure in presence of metal oxide catalyst
Poly ethylenes are very good insulating materials and are adequately flexible hence used as an insulator in wires and cables.
They find extensive uses and applications as molded or formed objects, films, sheets, bottles and containers, pipes, and tubes.
Polythene finds application in packaging, waterproofing, irrigation, and water management including canal lining and mulching, and in coating and lamination.
Polypropylene - Addition polymer

Top Business Ideas of Profitable Manufacturing of Adhesives, Glues and Resins...Ajjay Kumar Gupta
An adhesive or glue is a material, usually in a liquid or semi liquid state, that adheres or bonds items together. Adhesives come from either natural or synthetic sources. The types of materials that can be bonded are vast but they are especially useful for bonding thin materials. Adhesives cure (harden) by either evaporating a solvent or by chemical reactions that occur between two or more constituents. Animal glues are essentially high polymer proteins; these glues find application in a wide range of industrial uses. Fish glue as the name indicates, is obtained as the byproduct of the fish skin industry, was the first liquid glue that reached commercial importance and was forerunner of all household glues. Resins are used in the manufacture of adhesives, paints and number of other products. Polyesters are thermosetting and thermoplastic resins for various applications. Due to high cost they are used with other resins for the application of adhesives. Polyamide resins used in adhesives can be divided into four used classes; thermoset adhesives, nylon epoxy adhesives, thermoset plastic adhesives and thermoplastic thermoset adhesives.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

INTRODUCTION
Synthetic polymers made from the reaction of phenol or substituted
phenol with formaldehyde are known as phenol formaldehyde resins (PF)
or phenolic resins. PFs were the first commercial synthetic resins, and
they were used to make Bakelite (plastics). They've been used to make
moulded goods like billiard balls and laboratory countertops, as well as
coatings and adhesives. They were once the predominant material used
to make circuit boards, but epoxy resins and fiberglass fabric, as well as
fire-resistant FR-4 circuit board materials, have increasingly replaced
them. There are two primary methods of processing.
3. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
The first reacts phenol and formaldehyde directly to form a
thermosetting network polymer, while the second restricts the
formaldehyde to form a prepolymer known as volcano, which can be
shaped and then cured with more formaldehyde and fire. There are many
differences in both the manufacturing and raw materials used to create a
wide range of resins for specialized applications. The other method
involves using an acid catalyst to react formaldehyde with an excess of
phenol.
4. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
This process yields a solid prepolymer known as a novolac (or novolak),
which is similar to the final polymer except for its lower molecular
weight and thermoplastic properties (that is, it can be softened by
reheating without undergoing chemical decomposition). Phenolic resins
are heat and chemical resistant, making them suitable for use in
hazardous environments. They are non-conductive and flame resistant,
making them suitable for laboratories and other areas that must
conform to fire protection, smoke emission, combustion, and toxicity
regulations.
5. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
Uses of Phenolic Formaldehyde Resin
Since they shape chemical bonds with the phenol-like lignin portion of
wood, phenol-formaldehyde resins are excellent wood adhesives for
plywood and particleboard. Because of their high moisture tolerance,
they are particularly well suited to exterior plywood. Phenolic resins are
often formed into insulating and heat-resistant items like refrigerator
handles, distributor caps, and brake linings, and are invariably
reinforced with fibres or flakes.
6. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
Since phenolic resins have no melting point but only a decomposing
point in the temperature zone of use, they are also used to make exterior
plywood, also known as weather and boil proof (WBP) plywood.
Since phenolic resins have no melting point but just a decomposing point
in the temperature zone of 220 °C (428 °F) and above, they are often used
to make exterior plywood known as weather and boil proof (WBP)
plywood. In cloth-based loudspeaker driver suspension parts, phenolic
resin is used as a binder. The novolak is the other main form of phenolic
resin. Excess phenol and an acid catalyst are used in this process. The
thermoplastic that results is usually ground into a powder, mixed with a
filler, and used in heated and pressurised moulds.
7. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
They're commonly used in heat-resistant items like appliance and
cookware handles and knobs, as well as electrical connectors. Electrical
components such as punch–through boards and household laminates are
made with paper phenolic. Glass phenolic are particularly well-suited to
high-speed bearing applications. For density regulation, phenolic micro-
balloons are used. Phenol formaldehyde resin is also used to make
snooker balls and balls for a variety of other table–based ballgames.
Phenolic resin is used as a binding agent in natural (organic) brake pads,
brake shoes, and clutch discs.
8. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
Production Process
The first polymeric resins made commercially from simple low molecular
weight compounds were phenolic or PF resins. The poly condensation of
phenol and formaldehyde in the presence of an acid or a base catalyst
produces these. The form of catalyst and the mole ratio of reactants
determine the quality of the chemical. There are two forms of initial
phenol-formaldehyde reaction products: novolacs and resoles.
9. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
There are two primary methods of processing. The first reacts phenol and
formaldehyde directly to form a thermosetting network polymer, while
the second restricts the formaldehyde to form a prepolymer known as
volcano, which can be shaped and then cured with more formaldehyde
and fire. There are several different types of manufacturing and raw
materials used to make a wide range of resins for various applications.
There are two simple methods for converting polymers into usable resins
in industrial practice.
10. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
An excess of formaldehyde is reacted with phenol in water
solution in the presence of a base catalyst to create a low-
molecular-weight prepolymer called resole. By sandwiching the
resole between layers of wood veneer and then heating the assembly
under pressure to form plywood, the resole, which is often in liquid form
or solution, can be cured to a solid thermosetting network polymer.
11. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
Market outlook
Bakelite was a phenol-formaldehyde resin that was one of the first
synthetic polymers to be commercialized. It's been used as an insulator
for switches and other electric devices for quite some time. Phenol
formaldehyde has an uncomfortable dark colour due to the presence of
phenol groups. Many products, such as rotting fruit or yellowed white
fabric, darken as phenol-formaldehyde resin binds directly without CH2
bridges, creating condensed aromatic rings that are black in colour and
are responsible for the darkening of many products.
12. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
The Phenol Formaldehyde Resin Market report analyses the market size,
share, growth potential, and future prospects of the Phenol
Formaldehyde Resin market. The Asia Pacific phenol-formaldehyde resin
market is expected to grow due to increased demand from the building
and construction industry. The automotive and electronics industries are
also expected to raise demand for phenol-formaldehyde resin.
Synthetic polymers made by reacting phenol with formaldehyde are
known as phenol-formaldehyde resins. These resins have excellent
chemical and physical properties, including high mechanical strength,
heat resistance, low toxicity, and low smoke production.
13. www.entrepreneurindia.co www.niir.org
These properties of resins have aided in the expansion of the phenolic
resin industry. The global phenolic resin market has been driven by
advanced properties of phenolic resin and high demand from various
industries such as building, furniture, automotive, and others. While
environmental regulations and fluctuating raw material prices can stifle
overall growth on a global scale.
