CanJS is a relatively new framework so it lacks in terms of popularity. But we were greatly impressed by its ease-of-use and flexibility in our projects so I thought its prudent to include it in the list. CanJS also ranks higher than the other three in terms of performance, especially when you have to render lots of view binding.
JavaScript toolkits that can work as frameworks
KnockoutJS
KnockoutJS is a very popular toolkit among JS web app designers. It’s very lightweight, has every basic view rendering feature an app would need and it’s a perfect tool for those app projects for which you may have to develop your own framework.
BackBoneJS
BackboneJS is awesome if you want to define your templating or use jQuery-like event binding. However the framework Tool-kit is only for advanced developers and it has a steep learning curve. BackBoneJS is good at handling requests, module loading and request routing.
Conclusion
AngularJS is only stand alone framework that does not need help of any other library to work, and it is also the largest frontend JS framework out there. Ember and CanJS need support from additional libraries but are great in their own ways. BackboneJS and KnockoutJS are awesome for small app development projects or for those large app development projects in which you may have to build your own framework.
A Brave Journey in Merge Waters: How Paysafe Consolidated Their Atlassian Tools
After a large merger in mid-2015, Paysafe, a fintech company providing payment solutions worldwide, had several instances of Atlassian products spread across the globe. With 4 JIRA Software, 3 Confluence, 2 Bitbucket, 2 Bamboo and 2 HipChat server instances, our team made the bold decision to unify them into a single instance for each product. Further complicating the already daunting task were 6 active directories of users, a diverse set of admins, and different levels of organizational maturity across our development, product, and business teams. A year after we set sail, Paysafe now has a single production instance of the majority of these products, with little impact to users, no data loss, and improved performance. In this session, we will outline our journey into the uncharted waters of consolidation focusing on our 4 JIRA instances, as this was the most critical and challenging mission in our quest. Together with our Atlassian Solution Partner, Nemetschek Bulgaria, we will share tips and best practices on limiting downtime, eliminating the risk for loss of vital data, and the unification of user management.

Avoiding Overdesign and Underdesign
The question of how much design to do up-front on a project is an engaging one. Too much design often results in overkill, complexity, and wasted effort. Too little design results in insufficient system structures that require later rework, additional complexity, and wasted effort. How can we know what the right balance is? Ken Pugh shows how to use advice taken from Design Patterns, coupled with the attitude of not building what you don’t need from agile. The trick is in observing potential variation, how it may affect you in the future, and then how to isolate these risks in a simple manner. Ken describes the essence of emergent design – that is, start with a simple design and let it evolve as the requirements evolve. He also demonstrates how to refactor to achieve better designs and how this is different from refactoring bad code.

In this session we will demonstrate how we can use the Power Platform (Power BI, Flow, PowerApps) to build a complete business solution with data stored in SharePoint lists. We will use as example a projects lifecycle site. It's a SharePoint Online site where we can manage the lifecycle of projects, from request, to approval, to development, to final review. A project requestor, such as a department head, requests an IT project by adding an item to a SharePoint list. A project approver, such as an IT manager, reviews the project, and then approves it or rejects it. If approved, the project is assigned to a project manager, and additional detail is added to a second list through the same app. A business analyst reviews current and completed projects using a Power BI report embedded in SharePoint. Microsoft Flow is used to send approval email and respond to Power BI alerts.

Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
