 Contractor management process compliance to achieve on-time delivery
of CACs, CTOCs, POTOCs and OTOCs
 On-site Community, landlord and client management during the build

 On-time processing of administration requirements during the build
phase e.g. variation BOQs and associated POs
 Compliance to permissions requirements e.g. wayleaves, ROUs and
landlords
 Supervising ISP and OSP contractors during the build phase through
regular site visits to ensure on-time completion
 On-time collation and preparation of all sign-off documents and As-built
files
 Progress reporting as and when required
 Escalation of problems and deviations from approved purchase orders
 Quality assurance
 Compliance to Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures
 Identification and management of risks

FIBRE NETWORK PLANNER- WESTERN CAPE
The Network Planner will be responsible for surveying, planning and costing all
work accurately. He will also be required to provide support for the PM/ILO with
regard to resolving technical problems on site. To collect data and information
about the sites and routes of the Fibre optic cable network. To understand
conditions of the terrain and classify the type of soil and distances through the
routes. To prepare maps and schematic descriptions of the physical routes
depicting the routing of the civil work to connect the sites, fibre optic cable and its
related connectivity.
Main responsibilities:
 Receive new site build request and evaluate.
 Contact end client and schedule site visit.
 Prepare for site survey.
 Plot customer on Google to determine route availability.
 Determine closest hand hole.
 Inform Customer and PM of date and time of survey.
 Evaluate site for most cost effective and practical executable route.
 Measure all distances.
 Take relevant photo’s.
 Draw site layout indicating proposed route to follow.
 Discuss cabinet placement with customer.
 Determine termination position and equipment required.
 Identify potential safety and security risks.
 Identify and record all client requirements.
 Understand conditions of the terrain and classify the type of soil and
distances through the routes.
 Make use of correct planning and costing template as per client
specifications.
 Accurately plan project according to fieldwork on:
 Google Planning and plotting.
 Visio.
 Map Info.
 Conduct accurate costing estimate based on all labour and material
components.

FIBRE NETWORK PLANNER- WESTERN CAPE The Network Planner will be responsible for surveying, planning and costing all work accurately. He will also be required to provide support for the PM/ILO with regard to resolving technical problems on site. To collect data and information about the sites and routes of the Fibre optic cable network. To understand conditions of the terrain and classify the type of soil and distances through the routes. To prepare maps and schematic descriptions of the physical routes depicting the routing of the civil work to connect the sites, fibre optic cable and its related connectivity.
