This document provides an analysis of the structure and extinction of asymptotic flamelets based on the seminal paper by Norbert Peters in 1983. It begins with notation and assumptions, then derives the flamelet equation through non-dimensionalization and asymptotic expansions. This yields the flamelet structure equation, which is then simplified using the Schwab-Zeldovich coupling relation between temperature and species. The analysis results in an ordinary differential equation for the flamelet structure identical to that in Law's combustion text. Outer solutions and boundary conditions are then discussed to complete the derivation.
