Abortion [uh-bawr-shun]: Also called
voluntary abortion. The removal of an
embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to
end a pregnancy. Any of various surgical
methods for terminating a pregnancy,
especially during the first six months

4. Who is having Abortions?
 18% of Women getting abortions are
teenagers (girls between the ages of 15-
19)
 Women between the ages of 20-29
account for more then 50% of all
abortions performed in the Unites States
 61% of abortion are obtained by women
who have one or more children

5. Why They are doing it?
¾ of women stress concern to being
responsible to another human being
 ¾ say that they can’t financially afford a
child
 ¾ say that a child would cause an
interference with everyday life (School,
Work)
 ½ say that they don’t want to be a single
parent

6. What needs to be done?
 Seek Supreme court decision to overturn
Abortions except when it imposes a threat
to the mother
 Recognize the Human Life Amendment
 Until it is fully outlawed pursue measures to
restrict it.
 Forbid sale of drugs like RU-486.
