Technology And Its Effect On Human Interaction
Albert Einstein once exclaimed, I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction.
His brilliance shows in today s era since now, technology predominates ordinary functions and
paralyzes the ability for humans to ponder and generate originality. Not one individual is thus
required to rigorously search for information or create ideas that are not simply available on the
world web. This excessive attachment to the devices that deliver access to such a broad spectrum of
information is evidently destroying human potential to excel within the realms of communication
and etc. Smartphones, in particular, spark significant concern since they are portable electronic
devices with the functionality of numerous gadgets combined. Researchers are concerned about the
tendency of people to merely replace experiences in reality with those of the virtual world within
their phones. This matter holds relevance within today s society since a notable percentage of
humans own smartphones and the activities which they participate in with the device stretches
from photography to games and to mere pastime rituals. Although technologyallows innovation and
is dire to numerous practices that benefit humanity; excessive dependence can cripple society in
ways that include communicative disability and mental disorders that can thrive in effect to such
an attachment.
Technological breakthroughs have allowed humanity to thrive in methods that prior generations
believed impossible. The

Informative Speech Outline
General Purpose: To inform the class
Specific Purpose: To describe to the audience a brief history of Alcatraz.
Thesis: Alcatraz has been a popular social topic because of the mystery that surrounds it and the
stories exaggerated in movies and television shows.
INTRODUCTION
I. If you disobey the rules of society, they send you to prison; if you disobey the rules of the prison,
they send you to Alcatraz.
II. Alcatraz has been a popular social topic because of the mystery that surrounds it and the stories
of mistreatment and escape attempts exaggerated in movies and television shows.
III. Alcatraz served as the federal government s response to post prohibition America. Both the

At Alcatraz, there was not special treatment for any inmate, though many tried.
C. As quoted in a report by the Bureau of Prisons, ... Alcatraz served an important purpose in taking
the strain off the older and greatly overcrowded institutions... since it enabled us to move the
smaller, closely guarded escape artists, the big time racketeers... and those who needed protection
from other groups...
Now that you know the kind of prisoners that were sent to Alcatraz,
II. I will discuss life on the island and as an inmate in the prison.
A. Each prisoner received a copy of the Rules and Regulations for the Government... Correctional
Institutions as well as a copy of the warden s special rules that explained the daily routine of work
and counts. The inmates were awakened at 6:30am to begin their day. They were required to clean
up themselves and their cell and required to shave three times a week.
B. Alcatraz was to be operated on the principle of very limited privileges to inmates. The
privilege of visitors had to be earned, and mail privileges were limited. They each held jobs within
the prison in the tailor shop, laundry, cobblers shop, model shop, gardening, or help with the food
prep in the mess hall.
C. Contrary to what the movies portray, there were no experiments made on the prisoners, and the
inmates that were transferred there were already twisted and disturbed; Alcatraz didn t turn them
into monsters. There was however, a dungeon that

Political And Social Change Paper
Some of the key concepts outlined in Hickman (2010) political and social change. The political
context demands that individuals or groups stand up to the injustices of policy. The social change
concept are those that inspire groups of initials to purposely stand up together against a cause. Each
of the concepts require flexible leadership techniques to accomplish results. Both political and
social change, require collaboration and a balance between transformational leadership. Wanting to
make a group of individuals or groups come together in united effort to change or bring about
awareness requires working with political and advocacy groups. Bringing awareness to a

Art Comparison Paper
In this paper, I will describe, compare, and contrast two paintings of the same name, The
Annunciation by Gerard David and Joos van Cleve. Beginning with Joos van Cleve s work, we
see the virgin Mary kneeling down before an opened book. An illuminated dove with its wings
spread is suspended above Mary. An angel is standing beside her, making a gesture. Both figures
are inside an ornately decorated, well lit bedroom. Mary is wearing a large, dark blue robe that
rests upon the floor as she kneels. A portion of it is suspended onto the stand from which she
reads a book. The book s pages are opened in an unrealistic manner, with a few pages seemingly
stuck in one position. What little of her figure that is visible is oddly proportioned, with a plump...

How To Write A Paper On Alzheimer s Disease
Alzheimer s Disease These days it is typical to see an elderly person forgetting something.
Memory loss may need to be taken more seriously now. If the elderly person is experiencing
memory loss, it may be time to have them see a doctor. It can be hard to diagnose the symptoms
at first due to the fact that the symptoms can seem subtle. This disease, however can be serious
and needs to be treated as soon as there is a problem. If it stays untreated the disease can leave
the person unable to take care of themselves at all or even worse deceased. Alzheimer s Disease
is a serious disease that can be mistaken for a healthy lifestyle, but there are several ways to
prevent it, or lower the risks. Alzheimer s can be a difficult disease to understand,... Show more

This can put a huge impact on your family life and your career. When you have just found out
that your family member has been diagnosed with Alzheimer s you need time to work through
the feeling yourself. Never be afraid to ask for help. Caring for someone with Alzheimer s can be
demanding of your time, health and finances (Peterson). Caregivers have to completely
understand the disease which means understanding the brain. This can put a toll on your family
and your emotional well being. This could make you feel frustration, anger and even guilt. People
with Alzheimer s can be wrong and repeat themselves many times but there is a proper way to
handle the situation. When correcting someone with Alzheimer s start by a gentle correction
however you need to pay attention to their response. If the Alzheimer s patient responds like its
not a big deal then leave correction there. There are times when the patient will take the correction
as an insult to their intellect then ask yourself if the correction really matters. When a caregiver
find that they can no longer take care of their loved one with Alzheimer s they must take them to a
nursing home or elder program. When it comes to deciding how to treat Alzheimer s if you, decide
to go with treatments at all, start by asking the Alzheimer s patient. Then consult then family.

Creative Deed Project Analysis
Creative Deed Reflection Paper: Method and Response Initially, I was apprehensive about
participating in the Creative Deed Project because I was unsure of what type of artwork to
create and who to give the final product to. Also, finding time to produce a piece of artwork that
I found acceptable to give to others seemed like another obstacle that I would have to face.
However, once I came up with a more structured plan about approaching this project, things
started to fall in place. Through this reflection paper, I will describe the methods I used to carry
out this project and changes I went through resulting in my participation. The Creative Deed
Project utilized in this Introduction to Art Therapy class was adopted from the Creative Deed
Project 365, which was established by a registered art therapist named Gretchen Miller.
Originally, the guidelines for this project involved creating artwork on 3 x 5 inch note cards;
however, I decided to make postcards instead so that I could reach more individuals who lived
outside of my range of accessibility. Also, except for my parents, I did not notify any of the
recipients that I would be sending them a piece of artwork. I feel that anonymity was an important
component to my process because I wanted the focus of the benefits to be on the person receiving
the gift of creative goodness, not the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One way of alleviating this stress was to come up with a quote or theme that seemed applicable
to the individual receiving the piece. For Anne Fines, I used the quote, At the end of the day, we
can endure much more than we think we can from the artist, Frida Kahlo. Not only did Kahlo
survive a horrible accident, but she also used paining as a copping mechanizeism to aid her with
everyday functioning. If I was unable to find and appropriate quote, I would choose a matching
theme for both of artworks to be created for that

The Doctrinal Cycle Of Federalism
Federalism is when states or provinces share power with a national government. The United States
government functions by applying the principles of federalism. The doctrinal cycle of federalism
is when the state gain power for a while and then the power is disbursed to the national government
for a while. The power is given back and forth between the states and the national government
creating a cycle of federalism. The ideology of the Supreme Court is an important factor for
determining what level of Congress will hold the power. A liberal Supreme Court is more likely
to let the national government hold more power, while a conservative court is more likely to let
the states hold more power. There are three types of federalism which are cooperative, dual, and
new. The ideology of the Supreme Court affects what type of federalism that the country will live
under.
Cooperative federalism is when all three levels of government collectively interact to solve
common problems. In cooperative federalism there is a strong national government and the
Supreme Court allowed Congress to grow and become more powerful. The court s ideology
during this time was more liberal, which impacts how the court will decide on cases that are
presented to them. The McCulloch v. Maryland case was about Congress creating The Second
Bank of the United States, in the state of Maryland. Maryland at the time passed legislation that
would impose a tax on the bank. James W. McCulloch, a cashier at the

Luke Garner Book Report
The book does not give an exact location of where the story took place. From what I gathered
throughout the book the Garner family lives in a large wooded area so they can raise farm
animals. For most of the book Luke s home is the only setting and sometimes he went to his friend
Jen s house secretly.
The main character of the book is Luke Garner. He is a 12 year old boy with brown hair and
brown eyes. There is a law in his city where you can have 0 2 kids. If you have more, the
population police will take your kid and put you in jail. Luke is a third child which makes him
illegal. People call third children shadow children, which makes Luke a shadow child. He tries his
hardest to stay hidden. It used to be easy because there were trees covering his house, but the town
decided to cut them down. Luke ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

but his room. As he was searching for ways to look outside he found a small vent that allowed
him to look out. When he was looking out the window, he noticed Jen also looking out a small
window. Next, he came to a decision to go over to Jen s house. When they were talking Jen told
Luke about the rally. The rally is kind of like a protest for shadow children. Jen went with the
rest of the shadow children. When he went to Jen s house the next day, Jen s dad told him she
had got shot and killed by the population police. Luke was very sad. The population police came to
Jen s house to talk to her dad while Luke was there and Jen s dad had to hide him. He hid inside a
closet under some blankets. After that, Jen s dad got Luke a fake I.D. so that he could go live a

Frankenstein Vs. The Monster Essays
Frankenstein Vs. The Monster
At this point in the novel, I sympathize with the monster even though he has become a terrible
person. As his creator, Victor Frankenstein should have cared for the monster despite his disgusting
appearance.
Frankenstein failed to provide the monster with any type of parental guidance and instead ran away
from his responsibilities. In the first few hours of his birth, the monster is faced with rejection, even
from his creator. If Frankenstein would have guided and nurtured him, then the monster would have
never sought revenge on Frankenstein and his family. However, I sympathize mostly with the
monster because he is no the one to blame. I believe with most instances that the parent is the one to

If the monster would have encountered a family in which the husband was an abusive drunk and
the wife beat her children,
Frankenstein would have evolved into a different person.
The monster is hated by every person he encounters. Frankenstein calls his creation a horrible
disaster, which leaves a mark on the monster.
The creator leaves him for dead and does not care what happens to the monster. The monster had to
learn things by himself like the effects of fire and hunger. The monster learns that fire causes heat
but learns that it can burn him sticking his hand in the fire. A good parent will teach a child things
about nature and will nurture the child. A good parent will also teach a child the difference
between right and wrong. However, Frankenstein leaves his creation for dead and wishes death
upon the monster.
On the other hand, I need to show some sympathy to Frankenstein and place some of the blame on
the monster. The monster learned much from the time Frankenstein left him in the apartment. The
monster kills the boy out of pure revenge against Frankenstein. The monster is disgusted at human
nature because of all the killing that occurs between us, yet he still goes ahead and does it himself.
He contradicts himself and is a hypocrite.
In his second encounter with a human, the monster enters a home of a shepherd, who with one look
at him, runs away in fear and disgust. The monster then enters a

Ethanol Fuel Pros And Cons
Ethanol Fuel According to the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production in 2013 added
more than 87,000 direct jobs across the country, $44 billion to the gross domestic product, and
$30.7 billion in household income ( Ethanol Benefits and Considerations ). A nonrenewable
resource, gasoline, currently occupies the United States s spot as the main fuel source. This not
only means our fuel supply will eventually be depleted, but the country s main fuel supply is
harming the environment. Throughout the last decade, the idea of ethanol, a renewable resource,
starting to replace gasoline has been debated, but until the last few years, remained implausible.
Recent technology innovations, enhancing the performance of ethanol fuel, transformed this idea
into a reality. The adoption of ethanol as the main source of our country s fuel not only benefits the
country as a whole but individuals vehicles . Lower greenhouse gasemissions prevail as the main
benefit of ethanol fuel. Greenhouse gases contribute to global warming, which affects the Earths
temperature drastically. It is necessary that the world reduces the amount of pollution generated.
The warming of the Earth affects more than the temperature; it disrupts the wildlife as well.
Consequently, insects, specifically disease... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Community Paramedic Benefits
The Economic Benefit of Community Paramedics Paramedics and EMTs alike work twenty four
hours a day, every day of the year. These highly trained individuals respond to 9 1 1 calls all over
the country keeping citizens safe from harm. Unfortunately this same service is abused by many
individuals who tax the system and slow down response times. Recently, many state government
officials began to propose community paramedicprograms where patients can be evaluated and even
treated at home depending on their nature of illness. Although the start off for these programs can
be costly, the benefits outweigh the cost as community paramedics can benefit the health system by
preventing illness and reducing the amount of emergency transfers to the hospital.... Show more

The training to become a community paramedic includes 114 didactic hours and 196 clinical hours
(Emerging Health Professions). The economic cost of sending current paramedics through this
extra training would be minimal and would provide an economic benefit to the community. These
paramedics would increase access to primary and preventive care and decrease use of emergency
departments, which in turn decreases health care costs (Emerging Health Professions). Most of the
available treatments and interventions preformed at an emergency room are also done in
ambulances (See Table 2).
Table 2: Selected procedures at emergency department visits: United States, 2011 ( National

Peplau Nursing Theory Essay
The study which has been outlined earlier, if conducted can either support or refute if nurses will
need increased education and training on Electronic Health Records formerly known as EHR s. If
this study is conducted, nurses will know whether or not the education and training they are
receiving traditionally on EHR s is sufficient for gaining interpersonal relationshipswith their
patients. Interpersonal relationships include patient rapport, effective nursing interventions, and
patient safety. Nurses will know whether or not time is being sufficiently spent with the patient or
if it is being occupied with EHR input because of lack of education, understanding and training.
Nursing Theory Peplau s theory on interpersonal relationships defines four phases on how to gain a
quality nurse patient relationship. These four phases include orientation, identification,
exploitation, and resolution (Peplau, 1952). If this study is conducted and shows a need for an
increase in education and training in electronic charting to fulfill adequate care for patients, Peplau
s nursing theory will reiterate the importance of gaining an interpersonal relationship with patients.
Peplau s theory will change by implementing the first phase, orientation in EHR use. The
orientation phase is coming to know your patient and being their major information source. The
role of being a major information source will be done personally by the nurse giving proper time
to gain a relationship . The

How Does Beer Affect Society
Beer
a.Despite the negative connotations that come with the drink today, beer has actually played a
huge role in shaping societies. One example of this takes place with the Sumerian people of
Mesopotamia. Beer drinkers were widely depicted as drinking with a straw, this became a symbol
of hospitality and friendship, the tradition of clinking glasses when sharing alcohol also can be
traced to beer. Another subtle, yet important way that beer contributed to society is that it helped
eliminate the nomadic hunter gathering lifestyle from before.
b.Beer also helped influence the history of some societies. The constant thirst for beer led to the
creation of mash tubs made specifically for creating beer; this in turn allowed people to become
more creative. By adding things such as berries, honey, spices and herbs to the tubs, the beer
altered in taste and thus, became a drink used for different occasions. Egyptian records also refer to
beer as the beautiful and good and the heavenly . Beer was also used in religious ceremonies and
bappir or beer bread, was created and used for food shortages. ... Show more content on

Realistic Features Of Geoffrey Chaucer
Geoffrey Chaucer
Chaucer, one of the greatest English poets of all times, was born in London around the year
1340 and died in 1400. He came from a wealthy merchant London family. Thanks to his education
and his father s court connections he became a member of Parliaments. After a marriage with a
woman named Philippa de Roet, a lady of high rank in waiting to the Queen, Chaucer got a
diplomatic position. He was sent abroad to secret talks and official business to Italy and France.
There he learned French and Italian, as well as studied their history, literature and culture, which

As we know from the Prologue, the Reeve had been carpenter. As I got to know from history,
reeves and millers were as well antagonists in a real life. That is also a realistic feature of MillerВґs
tale, and feeling offended from a MillerВґs tale, Reeve makes a revenge in his tale about millers.
Here Chaucer set forth the ordinary feud between millers and reeves that happened in everyday
life. When the tale was ended, the pilgrims didn t know whether to be angry because of MillerВґs
rudeness or laugh at his immoral story. But because of ReeveВґs higher rank, they did not comment
on it. According to Lowes, the change to realism represented in the Canterbury Tales, divides his
works, for it is in progress during the whole life and career. Instead of familiar Italian, French, and
English periods, there should be only two: the theory of convention and the period of realism.

Turkle persuades her audience by appealing to the emotional side of her audience. Throughout

background, only a phone ringing in the distance, or the men s voices during their deliberation.
These long silences also took place during editing shots of the town and images that surrounded this
German city. This dramatic difference in sound was a revelation of how mood can be made by
images and sound put together to make an incredible component.
By offering a shot by shot analysis of a scene that uses diegetic sound the audience can understand
why the director used these sound aspects to tell his story. This analysis does not just follow one
scene but rather a series of scenes in order of what is relevant. First we are witness to the mother in
her apartment washing clothes on the washing board and the camera then cuts to the clock, which is
striking time and making an animated noise that brings the audience into this important element of
the film. The story then cuts to Elsie being honked at on the street with horns that are overly
dramatic in sound, yet another way for the director to use the sound technique. Another way the
director uses sound in a dramatic way is when he presents Elsie bouncing her ball down the
sidewalk and on the

Role Of The Dental Nurse And Measuring And Recording Root...
Q4) During a root canal treatment how do you assist the operator in measuring and recording root
length? Why is this necessary?
There are few ways how to measure length of root like placing single file in the root and taking
radiograph or using apex locator.
The role of the dental nurse is to make sure all necessary instruments and equipment are ready for
appointment.
What needs to be ready for radiograph method: x ray machine + all chemicals for processing (if
manual processing is used) or laser scanner (digital processing) + film; ruler, different lengths of
files; file holder with sponge.
What needs to be ready for apex locator method: apex locator with all wires and; different lengths
of files; file holder with sponge.
During procedure nurse is usually passing instruments, making sure equipment is set up and ready
to go, assisting with taking radiographs, taking care about patient s escort during taking
radiographs, making sure patient is comfortable and calm, processing x rays, also working length
have to be recorded in the patient notes either paper or digital or both
Correct length should be recorded for following reasons:
To be sure right size of gutta percha is choose in order to fill whole length of root canal except 2mm
at the apex
For the second stage of root canal= it s not necessary to re measuring canal
Prevent perforating apex as this can lead to further problems
For the other dentist to be able take patient over

Effects of the Cold War in Nicaragua Essays
The Cold War was a period in history right after WWII ended and it ended in 1991, when the USSR
broke apart. The conflict was between two types of governments: the communists and the
capitalism (democrats). The USSR represented the communist side, while the U.S. represented the
democrats. Both countries had nuclear weapons and did not want to fight each other directly
because they didn t want a Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD), so they fought through other
countries, by Proxy Wars. The global tensions in Cold Waraffected a few countries in a couple of
regions, for example Central America. The involvement of the United States aided Nicaragua
economically, militarily, and politically.

Reagan wanted to support contras economically and he stated that quite openly; however, a lot of
U.S. citizens did not like that. During that time, in 1985, a war between Iran and Iraq took place.
Even though the U.S. publicly supported Iraq, the government also secretly assisted Iran. Among
those years Iran asked the United States for help with weaponry. It is illegal to sell weapons to the

was because he wanted to take control in the problematic Middle East and selling weapons to Iran
would improve the relations with Iran and Lebanon. At the same time Reagan wanted to free the
seven hostages that were held by Iranian terrorist and even though he strongly supported the rule of
not negotiating with terrorists, he broke the rule by supplying Iran with weapons. After receiving
money from Iran, Regan sponsored contras using that money. The United States had also supplied
the contras with weapons and equipment. After the clandestine deal between the two countries was

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ( Adhd )
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), according to the textbook, is a lifelong
neurological development disturbance that causes inattention and hyperactivity problems
(Wicks Nelson Israel, 2015, p. 217). Many of those who have ADHD also suffer from one or
more type of learning disability, because their attention issues that inhibit their ability to focus
on the materials being taught at the moment (McNamara, J. [October 19, 2016], Lecture #6,
Brock University). According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the
fifth edition (DSM 5), there are three categories for ADHD, the inattentive type, hyperactivity
type, and the combined type (Wicks Nelson Israel, 2015, p. 223 225). In this scenario, there are
various aspects of Kate s diagnosis that could affect the understanding of ADHD for those
around her. From a biological perspective, the composition of a child s chromosomes is

the place was at church and my house, this story starts when I was sitting in my room. I probably
was on my x box playing then my mom came in and said we are going to church then she
showed me a video of how to act when at church. Before going to church we had to get clothes
and what I got was a white shirt, black pants, and any color tie and a vest was optional. The first
time we went to church it was boring at first but it was kind of fun and exciting. After that we
were getting visits from the missionaries at our home and at the church and it was fun.

Essay On Japanese Education Vs American Education
Education is an extremely important quality of every nation. It is the base and no nation can
survive without education and it is one of the major causes of prosperity and bright future (Spiegle,
2012). Hence, it is important that the education policy of every country should be devised
according to the situation and the era time. Different countries have different educationsystems and
methods in place (Wobmann 2001). The following paper will focus on the differences in the
education system in United States and Japan.
One of the largest differences between the American and the Japanese school system is the school

Subjects such as basic math, Japanese and physical education are offered by the subject. In recent

The middle school starts right after elementary school with harder class material, tough classes and

this phenomenon continues throughout middle school also. In middle school, there are specific
teachers assigned to teach specific subjects with an additional teacher who acts as the class teacher

American college as it has a generalized education schedule. However, in the second year, the

Discrimination in Harrison Bergeron, after you my dear...
Discrimination in the Short Stories, Harrison Bergeron, after you my dear Alphonse, and The
Lottery
The trait of discrimination is the basis for the stories, Harrison Bergeron, after you my dear
Alphonse, and Lottery. Discrimination is when someone is hated or acted upon negatively for the
reason of race, sex, or nationality. In the short stories the author s feelings of discrimination are
expressed through the characters differently. In these stories the author has his own feelings and
thought depicted through the characters. By the popular theme of discrimination and racism it
suggests that these stories were written in the late sixties early seventies.
In the story Harrison Bergeron the whole country is handicapped except for ... Show more content

This shows discrimination against everyone because they are taking that person s freedom away
and judging them on their looks and abilities. A man named Harrison who would be a sport super
star in real life because of his outstanding talent is fitted with weights and other handicaps to make
him like everyone else. He revolts and overcomes his handicaps but is soon killed for breaking the
law. In this story discrimination plays a big part in how the main character revolts.
The next example is in the story, after you my dear alphonse. In this story a boy becomes friends
with an African American boy named Boyd and brings him home for lunch, when he gets home
his mother is shocked to see her son with this boy. The mother assumes that the father works hard
labor in the fields and that the boy will grow up and do the same. But that?s not the case, the boys
father works in a factory. This is an example of discrimination because the mother assumes things
just because he is black.
The last example of discrimination as a theme for a short story is in The Lottery. In this story a
community has a lottery every year and the winner is stoned to death. The theme of discrimination
is shown when they just pick a random person and kill them. That discriminates against that person
because they show hate for little or no reason.

Life Of Pi By Yann Martel s Life Of Pi
There was once a man who was driving around in the winter, he lost control of his car and went
into a ditch. He awoke to find himself alone in the car with no gas station for miles. He made the
decision to start walking, he walked for 2 miles when he came up on a truck. He assumed the
owner was hunting as they were in a prime hunting spot. The man peeked inside the truck to find
lots of food and warm clothes. If the man broke into the truck and ate the food and put the
clothes on should he could get in trouble. He was in a very dangerous life or death situation. This
is the question: Should he get in trouble for trying to save his own life? If humans are in life or

Journal 1 During my English 1302 class, our instructor assigned us to read a short story called,
The Cats of the Ulthar. As I read this story, my thoughts about the reading was very unexpected
as to what kind of stories I m used to reading for English classes. The short story was very peculiar,
and odd since I was reading a tale about an old couple who kills cats. My perspective on this story
was that it s similar to a fairy tale since they both have evil characters that play a major role in the
story telling. I viewed the old couple as folkloric characters that are usually featured in fairy tales
for the reason that most fairy tale movies or books show the evil character losing in the end.

A Day Died Of Heart Attack
Ibbad Hussain
The Perfect day is when I was on a picnic with my family at Karachi beach in
Pakistan. The summertime there is when the day is extremely hot and the ocean exceedingly
breezy. On this perfect day as I recall, the mist of the salty ocean water dampened the face and
the smell of the sizzling burger patties wafted in the air. My Grandfather whom I called Big G ,
the reason that calling him Big G is his biggest pet peeve. On this perfect day, Big G made the
greasiest, succulent burger I have ever eaten and that day I ate four full size burgers. I know it s
a lot of food to eat one time, but I can t help it; they were just so mouth watering. Only if things
lasted forever, I wish he were still alive to make another one today just like on this perfect day.
Big G on the perfect day died of heart attack due to lack of proper medications. The heart attack
happened because Big G had high cholesterol, which was not reduced by proper medications like it
is in America. As an effect of improper medications for the high cholesterol condition, any sort of
minor physical activity had serious consequences. On this perfect day, Big G was playing
Badminton with me, and as the game progressed, the physical condition worsened into a sudden
heart attack. My parents rushed Big G to the hospital, but on the way hope was lost. When the
ambulance arrived at the hospital, burial forms had to be filled out instead of hospital admittance
forms. I cried my heart out that day, eventually

Different Types Of Valuation Methods
Within the financial sector, there are many different types of valuation methods in which their
purpose is to receive the share price of a company. Throughout this paper, I will discuss the various
methods and the factors that contribute to the outcomes of each one. The context of this paper will
be discussed in the manners of both the positive and negative aspects of each method. With each
method, I will also explain the factors that significantly influence the price of each method used.
Currently, Cenovus is trading on the Toronto StockExchange at a value of $17.83. One of the key
aspects that I will acknowledge is that they currently have a long term growth value of 108% and
their target price is $18.55. Other factors can be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is one of the most significant downfalls of this method, because you can greatly misprice the
value of the firm without considering the cash flows as well as other variables. Another common
valuation method that one may use is the EV/EBITDA ratio method. This specific method takes
into consideration the value of EBITDA as well as the value of net debt (market value of debt).
Another important consideration that investors must be aware of is the type of depreciation
method that Cenovus uses. Since Cenovus is a large asset company, this is a vital aspect to
consider when using the book value method. If Cenovus depreciates their assets at a faster pace,
this will allow investors to part take in a valuable investment and would cause for a positive pick
for their portfolio. However, if the company depreciates their asset in a slower manner, this could
create a higher book price than what the stock is currently trading at. This may misrepresent the
value of the firm to the investor. Investors should be cautious when considering this type of method
for valuing companies. Therefore, investors should do thorough research in what type of
depreciation method Cenovus uses. The methods include a straight line depreciation or a double
declining method. Both have a significant impact on the share price of the firm when using the book
value approach.
One common method within the industry

The South Is Seen As A Romanticize Version Of The United...
Mid Term Exam #3 The South is seen as a romanticize version of the United States. A place where
virtue, honor, and strong religious morals were upheld in common society. However, the recurring
themes that the South would have the role of being the ongoing rebel against most national

The South has been criticized for practicing the archaic ways of slavery deeming it: barbaric,
inhumane, and out of touch with the changes of the world. The argument continues through
George Fitzhugh s Southern Thought, Labor pays all taxes, but labor in a slave society is
property, and men will take care of their property. In free society, labor is not property, and there
is nothing to shield the laborer from the grinding weight of taxation all of which he pays, because
he produces everything valuable. (Fitzhugh Southern Thought pg. 823) Furthermore, the identity
the South identifies itself as a place of self worth and pride in what your property can produce
while enjoying the fruits of their labors. A land where taxes cannot take away the riches and
treasures that are produced in their fruitful land. The South possessed identity, and with that
identity came the sense of individualism. One of the leading causes of the Civil War was the belief
that the South s sense of individualism was in danger and to be eradicated from the face of the
United States. Ironically, during the Civil War the draft was enacted into Southern conscriptions
making it more of mandatory duty to southerners to join the military. The first general American
military draft was enacted by the Confederate government on April 16, 1862, more than a year
before the federal government did the same. The Confederacy took this

Atticus Qualities In To Kill A Mockingbird
In To Kill a Mockingbird, a novel by Harper Lee, Atticus displays many admirable qualities. He is
a figure many look up to, and many respect. His emotions never get the better of him, and he is
always calm and collected. He is kind and pleasant to everyone, no matter how they treat him. He
loves his children a lot, and raises them to the best of his ability, even though people criticize him
for raising them the way he is. Because of all the reading Atticus does, he is very knowledgeable,
and although he is definitely one of the smartest people in the town, he never brags and always
stays humble. Atticus has numerous admirable qualities; he is loving, amiable, and humble. One of
Atticus s best characteristics was his humble nature. Although he was a very smart and skilled
person, he never bragged over anything. Atticus shooting Tim Johnson was one great example of
this. Atticus, using his amazing rifle skills shoots a sick dog, and impresses his children greatly.

his children. As they passed under a streetlight, Atticus reached out and massaged Jem s hair, his
one gesture of affection. (207) Despite not showing love in the way most would, loving is certainly

Examples Of Generation Gap In A Raisin In The Sun
Bernard Rosenberg, an author who wrote books about societal issues in the 1970s, once wrote,
Generation Gap: A chasm, amorphously situated in time and space, that separates those who have
grown up absurd from those who will, with luck, grow up absurd. People grown up in different
environments or times have their own morals or methods of operation that would not be politically
correct today. This leads to a generation gap between young and old people. The difference
between an educated twenty year old with prodigious dreams (Beneatha) and a conservative woman
in her early sixties (Mama) is demonstrated In A Raisin in the Sun written by Lorraine Hansberry
with how it shows generation separates dreams, values, and cultural perspectives as shown with
Beneatha and Mama.
Beneatha and Mama s dreams are separated because of Beneatha s dreams of becoming a doctor.
Female doctors in the 1950s were seen not as accredible in their field. When Ruth tells Mama
about her appointment for her pregnancy and the female doctor she went to, Mama says, She
What doctor you went to? (61). To Mama going to a female doctor is seen as giving up the baby
which is the worst thing possible in Mama s mind. Mama undermines Beneatha as a doctor or any
other female doctor because Mama was raised in a generation where the workforce was dominated
by men while women were housewives. Another choice Mama disagrees with is Beneatha choice to
not get married. Mama pesters Beneatha many times about marriage, but Beneatha never agreed.
This was shown when Beneatha said, I m going to be a doctor. I m not worried about who I m
going to marry if I ever get married (50). Beneatha wants to be a strong independent female doctor
and not a housewife; besides, Mama believes that women should be married; nevertheless, they
should not take on such a male dominated job. Many times Mama pushes Beneatha to marry a rich
man, George Murchison, instead of supporting her dreams because Beneatha s dreams are not the
traditional life style. Beneatha pushes through Mama s beliefs on marriage and female doctors to
still continue her dreams of being a doctor.
Between Mama and Beneatha there is a vast generation gap as seen in the opposing views.
Beneatha and

Political Leadership And The President Of The United...
Introduction There is a mind boggling question that has been floating around the American
people here lately. And the question is, What are the qualifications to construct a good political
leader? When you think about this, other careers such as law enforcement, health professionals,
educators, and even city transit drivers all have a more clear cut job depiction on how to be
successful in that career, but when it comes to the criteria for political leadership, one will find a
vague description on how and what to do, and the various loop holes in certain areas in politics.
So this creates an even more challenging task for people to define if a political leader is good or
bad; and could possibly create a divide across the nation. I personally feel that it would be a
phenomenal notion to observe Mr. Barack Hussein Obama II, our 44th President of The United
Statesof America, without having any biased views or opinions, to analyze the pros and cons of
his 2 terms as our political leader and commander in Chief. I would say that he is a strong
transformational leader hands down just by assessing his years in congress and his 2 terms as
president. I can personally say that because I have a lot of areas under his leadership that I agree
with, and there some other areas that I do not agree with when viewing some of his viewpoints.
One accomplishment has gone unnoticed but is commendable. That s Obama s flawless personal
record. President Barack Obamahas served longer than any

meaning that aligns with the institution such a self belongs to. With this in mind, I observed the
office doors of the 3rd floor PsychologyDepartment in the Brogden Psychology Building by taking
photos of such doors to examine how such statements can reflect one as an individual and as a
member of a subculture.
Perhaps some of the most fascinating office doors amongst the ones I observed were those covered
in humorous decor. One lab office door in particular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, along with deductions made about the individuals, the observed symbolic statements can also
be examined through the lens of the subculture of the department as well. For example, although
there was an overall variety in content, the majority of the office doors observed contained personal
/humorous statements rather than informational/structured ones. Since these statements are seen by
other colleagues of the department, it is reasonable to assume that the department is playful in
nature. Similarly, many of the directions and lab doors were disorganized, exhibiting a uniform
nature of disarray rather than structured organization. Another form of content that was plentiful in
numbers was that of posters concerning mental health itself. This sentiment stresses passion for the
department s subculture itself, showcasing the department s pride in their research and its
importance on society as a whole. This department differs from others I ve seen in terms of
personality. The unique additions of humor and passion concerning the department set the
psychology department apart from many

ENC 1101
10 October 2016 Electronic Communication and Its social and Psychological effects How does
electronic communication affect our social behavior as a whole and our psychological
development? Communication is an important part of life. We all do it in a daily basis whether it
s face to face or through electronics. Communicating through the internet helps us as it decreases a
bit in the time that it would usually take for us to keep in touch with our loved ones. However, it
also takes away from the face to face interaction we would have with them. One of the most popular
ways that people communicate electronically is through text messaging. Just like all the other
diverse ways that allows us to communicate electronically such as email, instant messaging, social
media etc., text messaging affects us both positively and negatively. Actually we are affected both
positively and negatively with just the ability to communicate and interact with others
electronically. Electronic Communication tends to affects us socially and psychologically;
Socially: in a way that it allows us to keep in touch with our loved ones, especially those who live
far from us, however it distracts some of us from our priorities; Psychologically: one can be

The Four Noble Truths
Buddhism first appeared in India between the 5th and 6th BCE and is considered to be one of the
oldest practiced religion and philosophy. It is a way of life that is governed by a series of passages
and countless rules. These passages and rules are meant to enable an individual to further their
growth as an agent of transformations to reach the ultimate goal of enlightenment. Though
Buddhism, as its original form, is a strict and non peruvious practice of life, it provides of practical
outlook on life and how one should be with their environment. The first teaching or the first
Dharma, dictated by Siddhartha Gautama, were the Four Noble Truths. Not only are the four noble

Dukkha which refers to something that is bad and therefore unsubstantial is the first noble truth.
It is the realization that life itself is suffering. Dukkha is death, decay, grief, destruction and
despair. It comprises of the imbalances of life, attachments, and the disturbances of life that
cause disharmony. It is quite difficult to accept dukkha as truth because the human mind is
fragile and isn t capable of accepting the disturbing or upsetting. The human mind is only
capable of simplifying life s complexities and ignoring what may be traumatizing. Life is only
blissful when one dilutes themselves with false pretenses of happiness and lives in ignorance.
One only needs to open their eyes to see that dukkha exists and is abundantly all around us. No
one in the human race has ever existed only to live a life of blissfulness void of death, grief,
sadness, or despair. Even supposing that there was an individual born into a life of of happiness it
doesn t change the fact that they live in this world. A world where social communication is
inevitable and consequently causes human to meet others that are less fortunate or live lives of
destitute or unhappiness. Therefore the man that lives in the world of human life, is a victim of
Dukkha regardless of his own happiness. Even maintenance of the good things in life, such as good
health, is a form of agony and attachment Duhhka. Duhhka can even be the mere change of life.

The Importance Of Screen Acting
Screen Acting Assignment.
There are many skills in the performing arts world, and as a professional actor, you will need to
acquire these skills in order to become the best actor you can be.
To start with, it is important that an actor follows the next two professional acting rules. The first
rule is to punctual. It is important to be punctual, as you may be needed on the set to perform or
rehearse lines before shooting. It could be argued that being punctual is one of the most important
rules an actor should follow, and without punctuality, an actor or performer won t be cast in
performances or hired. Therefore, punctuality is a key skill an actor should learn, with techniques
helping to keep punctuality. For example, setting multiple alarms, or resetting your sleep schedule
have been proven to help people maintain their punctuality.
The second rule is being professional. As an actor, you may be needed to inspire or empower
others, and by not acting professional or being immature, you are letting down your own work,
the people who got you where you are now, but you are also letting down yourself, in the sense
that you aren t living to your full potential. It could be argued that being professional increases the
rate of employability as casting agents will be more impressed with the attitude and behavior the
actor is expressing. Finally, it is important to act professional as you can promote respect, therefore
losing the lack of gender and sexual equality, and reducing the stigma around certain character roles.
You will need to learn about the specific techniques known as technical skills. An example of
technical skills would be stage left and stage right. These skills are the technical name for the
sides of a stage. Actors use this term as they believe it is a more technical and professional than
the sides of a stage. Therefore, the technical terms are skills that should be used on stage as it will
make the actor sound a lot more professional. It could be argued that knowing the technical terms
stage left and stage right allow the actor to act in a completely better manner, therefore resulting in
acting and looking more professional. Always remember that stage left and right are from the actor

R. Ga And Adelburger Defense Of Eastern Ohio And Western...
R GA and Adelburger defense of eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania had finally fallen by the
17th of November. By this point, with the Underground continuing their push from the west, the
FYC YCHS alliance continuing their push from the south, in addition to the Union and the other
factions following in the wake of the advance, this has resulted in the Union having the opportunity
to launch a series of subversion and swaying of RGA and Adelburger control of the other school
systems on the surface, along with surgical strikes on Adelburger Castles and other assets beneath
and its presence in the otherworld. Luftgeschwader dogfights with the Union had also become
increasingly fierce, with the Underground beginning to field their own... Show more content on

But when the school day ended, he knew it was time for him to inspect the defenders behind one
of the most decisive events within the sphere of Brotzmanskrieg. The school bell rang, and the
students around him began to get out of their desks, taking with them their textbooks and
knapsacks, and getting themselves ready for the upcoming weekend. In November, the winter
uniform was being worn by the boys attending Archbishop Kurtz. The winter uniform consisted
of a dark violet or gray long sleeved V neck sweater (with school insignia on left breast),
underneath a white dress shirt featuring a Saint Tropez style collar and dark violet dress tie, a
pair of pleated black dress pants and a black or brown belt around the waist, along with matching
black socks and oxford dress shoes. Aside from the sweaters, the uniform dress code also
allowed for a cardigan, which was to have a dark violet color, along with school insignia on left
breast. During the spring and late summer parts of the school year, however, a summer uniform
had the dress shirt replaced with a violet golf shirt. Wearing the dress shirt was acceptable, but it
had to be worn alongside a dark violet V neck sweater and tie. Much like most Catholic primary and
secondary schools within the Greater American Catholic School System, particularly those who
ever had Catholic School Nobility members within its ranks, the Catholic school noblemen and
noblewomen were encouraged to not wear their resplendent

  • 2. Technology And Its Effect On Human Interaction Albert Einstein once exclaimed, I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. His brilliance shows in today s era since now, technology predominates ordinary functions and paralyzes the ability for humans to ponder and generate originality. Not one individual is thus required to rigorously search for information or create ideas that are not simply available on the world web. The United States government functions by applying the principles of federalism. The doctrinal cycle of federalism is when the state gain power for a while and then the power is disbursed to the national government for a while. The power is given back and forth between the states and the national government creating a cycle of federalism. The ideology of the Supreme Court is an important factor for determining what level of Congress will hold the power. A liberal Supreme Court is more likely to let the national government hold more power, while a conservative court is more likely to let the states hold more power. There are three types of federalism which are cooperative, dual, and new. The ideology of the Supreme Court affects what type of federalism that the country will live under. Cooperative federalism is when all three levels of government collectively interact to solve common problems. One example of this takes place with the Sumerian people of Mesopotamia. Beer drinkers were widely depicted as drinking with a straw, this became a symbol of hospitality and friendship, the tradition of clinking glasses when sharing alcohol also can be traced to beer. Another subtle, yet important way that beer contributed to society is that it helped eliminate the nomadic hunter gathering lifestyle from before. b.Beer also helped influence the history of some societies. The constant thirst for beer led to the creation of mash tubs made specifically for creating beer; this in turn allowed people to become more creative. By adding things such as berries, honey, spices and herbs to the tubs, the beer altered in taste and thus, became a drink used for different occasions. By using sound dramatically in certain parts and not using it at all in other parts, sound gave this story an entity of its own. For example, during long stretches of film with mostly dialogue, there was no music played in the background, only a phone ringing in the distance, or the men s voices during their deliberation. These long silences also took place during editing shots of the town and images that surrounded this German city. This dramatic difference in sound was a revelation of how mood can be made by images and sound put together to make an incredible component. At the same time Reagan wanted to free the seven hostages that were held by Iranian terrorist and even though he strongly supported the rule of not negotiating with terrorists, he broke the rule by supplying Iran with weapons. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is one of the most significant downfalls of this method, because you can greatly misprice the value of the firm without considering the cash flows as well as other variables. Another common valuation method that one may use is the EV/EBITDA ratio method. This specific method takes into consideration the value of EBITDA as well as the value of net debt (market value of debt). Another important consideration that investors must be aware of is the type of depreciation method that Cenovus uses. Since Cenovus is a large asset company, this is a vital aspect to consider when using the book value method. If Cenovus depreciates their assets at a faster pace, this will allow investors to part take in a valuable investment and would cause for a positive pick for their portfolio. However, if the company depreciates their asset in a slower manner, this could create a higher book price than what the stock is currently trading at. This may misrepresent the value of the firm to the investor. Investors should be cautious when considering this type of method for valuing companies. Therefore, investors should do thorough research in what type of depreciation method Cenovus uses. The methods include a straight line depreciation or a double declining method. The South has been criticized for practicing the archaic ways of slavery deeming it: barbaric, inhumane, and out of touch with the changes of the world. The argument continues through George Fitzhugh s Southern Thought, Labor pays all taxes, but labor in a slave society is property, and men will take care of their property. In free society, labor is not property, and there is nothing to shield the laborer from the grinding weight of taxation all of which he pays, because he produces everything valuable. • 37. Examples Of Generation Gap In A Raisin In The Sun Bernard Rosenberg, an author who wrote books about societal issues in the 1970s, once wrote, Generation Gap: A chasm, amorphously situated in time and space, that separates those who have grown up absurd from those who will, with luck, grow up absurd. People grown up in different environments or times have their own morals or methods of operation that would not be politically correct today. This leads to a generation gap between young and old people. The difference between an educated twenty year old with prodigious dreams (Beneatha) and a conservative woman in her early sixties (Mama) is demonstrated In A Raisin in the Sun written by Lorraine Hansberry with how it shows generation separates dreams, values, and cultural perspectives as shown with Beneatha and Mama. Beneatha and Mama s dreams are separated because of Beneatha s dreams of becoming a doctor. Female doctors in the 1950s were seen not as accredible in their field. When Ruth tells Mama about her appointment for her pregnancy and the female doctor she went to, Mama says, She What doctor you went to? (61). To Mama going to a female doctor is seen as giving up the baby which is the worst thing possible in Mama s mind. Mama undermines Beneatha as a doctor or any other female doctor because Mama was raised in a generation where the workforce was dominated by men while women were housewives. Another choice Mama disagrees with is Beneatha choice to not get married. Mama pesters Beneatha many times about marriage, but Beneatha never agreed. This was shown when Beneatha said, I m going to be a doctor. I m not worried about who I m going to marry if I ever get married (50). Beneatha wants to be a strong independent female doctor and not a housewife; besides, Mama believes that women should be married; nevertheless, they should not take on such a male dominated job. Many times Mama pushes Beneatha to marry a rich man, George Murchison, instead of supporting her dreams because Beneatha s dreams are not the traditional life style. Beneatha pushes through Mama s beliefs on marriage and female doctors to still continue her dreams of being a doctor. And the question is, What are the qualifications to construct a good political leader? When you think about this, other careers such as law enforcement, health professionals, educators, and even city transit drivers all have a more clear cut job depiction on how to be successful in that career, but when it comes to the criteria for political leadership, one will find a vague description on how and what to do, and the various loop holes in certain areas in politics. So this creates an even more challenging task for people to define if a political leader is good or bad; and could possibly create a divide across the nation. I personally feel that it would be a phenomenal notion to observe Mr. Barack Hussein Obama II, our 44th President of The United Statesof America, without having any biased views or opinions, to analyze the pros and cons of his 2 terms as our political leader and commander in Chief.
