1) Perseus was born from Zeus taking the form of golden rain to impregnate Danae, who was imprisoned by her father King Acrisius. 2) Perseus grew up on the island of Seraphos and was tasked by King Polydectes with bringing back the head of Medusa to avoid protecting his mother Danae. 3) With the help of Hermes and Athena, Perseus was able to slay Medusa by using an invisible helmet and viewing her reflection to avoid turning to stone. He later used Medusa's head to turn others to stone.
