Joel Taylor emailed Garry Holmes requesting permission to use a real knife as a prop in a student film being filmed at Castlefield House. Garry responded that a real knife could be used as long as it remained inside Castlefield House under Simon's supervision and was left with staff when not filming. Garry requested more details from Joel about the filming time, location, and whether the knife would look realistic, which Joel then provided. Garry confirmed the real knife could be used on the conditions that it remain inside Castlefield House and under supervision.

Hi Joel
As long as it’s inside Castlefield House and Simon is there to supervise that
will be fine but, the knife cannot be taken outside and must be left with a
member of staff when you’re not filming

We are filming a film opening in Castlefeild house, I don't know the time yet as Jude
will tell us either last lesson today or friday. If possible could we use a real knife to
make the film more authentic?

Hi Joel
Can you give me some details please:
What time are you filming on Wednesday?
Where are you filming
Is this a toy knife and if so, does it look realistic?
Thanks

2. Dear Garry,
We are in Jude's media class and we will be filming on Wednesday 13th Nov. We
want to use a knife as a prop and want your permission to do so, or to let us know
what procedures to follow.
Thank you very much,
Joel Taylor - Group 049
