6. Who is Pedal and Paddle Tours?
We came up with the idea of creating this community based sharing
site on a 200 mile camping bike trip we took in 2010. Most people
traveling to other states, cities or towns search for food hotels
entertainment. Why not have a place to search and rate bike rides
with in a certain state? We decided to start with Vermont and over
time create a data base of all 50 states. As we begin to expand the
next venture would be offering guided tours of the rides & paddles we
have cataloged. Sharing our love of biking and paddling with others.

Goals: The goals are to reach as many people as possible using social media
to find the best places to pedal and paddle in Vermont. Creating as much traffic
as possible to our website and blog. To create and generate a sense of community
around the idea of sharing and chronicling bike rides in the state of Vermont.
Audience: The audience we will engage with is people who love to bike and
paddle and love the outdoors. The age group can be from young to old as the
two sports are often accessible to everyone. We will also have a target audience
of other business that relate to bike riding and paddling such as retail, clubs, and
bike tours.
What is the key message: A community based sharing site for like minded
people. Creating conversations and rating systems to lure people into trying the
site themselves and joining our conversations. The key message being sharing
based community.
