LOVISH JINDAL
PROBLEM :- LANGUAGE BARRIER faced by a student who come to engineering college in other state
of country.
Solutions :-
1. Learn the language
2. There should be a mutual language which could be understood
3. Encourage people to talk in mutual language with outsiders
4. Make localites understand that an immigrant can’t understand their language in a single day.
5. Awareness programmes, workshops should be conducted
6. Government should enact rules wherein learning national language for the officials be made
mandatory
7. Immigrants should be curious enough to learn the local language
8. Classes should be attended and government should play an active role in this regard
9. Learning national language should be made compulsory for the Doctors so that there is healthy
communiqué between the patient and the doctor concerned
10. Usage of Pictorial representation for conveying message
11. Involving a mediator to communicate one’s message from you to the individual concerned
12. Guide book can be used
13. Use of technology like Android Applications, internet etc for effective language learning
14. Interacting more with local individuals eg Neighbours, friends etc, thereby enhancing one’s
knowledge about the language
15. Interact with people who are comfortable with both languages i.e Local as well as mutual
16. Gesture recognition and comprehension of body language
17. To find common ground for idea sharing pertaining to culture and tradition
18. Understanding the traditional forms of living so that it is easier to reconcile to the local
environment
19. Your words may not be explicit but understandable by others
20. Make others deaf and dumb
21. Open an online language translation centre
22. Embedding a chip in the mind which is pre-installed with programmed local language
23. Fixing an electronic gadget onto the shoulders which can analyze and translate the spoken
languages
24. Translation can be done in written form by using an electronic gadget
25. Matching frequency while communicating with others and understanding the conveyed
notions
26. There should be only one language throughout the country.
THE MOST PRACTICAL IDEA :-
There should be a mutual language which could be understood
Yes, there should be one mutual language that everyone could understand. Government should
make it strict for all the citizens of nation to learn their mutual language so that any immigrant who
come to a new state/province should not face language barriers.
THE MOST DISRUPTIVE IDEA :-
Embedding a chip in the mind which is pre-installed with programmed local language
This is the most disruptive idea that come to my mind. Because, if a programmed chip
with local language installed in it is embedded in to a person’s mind than he would not need to
learn that local language and will not face any language barriers. He will get easily adjusted
with the local community and their culture.
MY FAVORITE IDEA :-
Matching frequency while communicating with others and understanding the conveyed notions
Yes,this is the idea that becomes my favorite of all. Because like in movies ”Koi mil gaya” or
“Independence day” humans were able to talk to aliens by matching frequency with them as
they do not know their local language.
