PEACE CIRCLE
• It is a safe place to build dialogue, respect,
and understanding among all.
• A place to participate with an open heart and
mind.
• A place where we practice respect and
honesty.
What is a PEACE CIRCLE?
o Everyone will have the chance to participate.
o All conversations in the Circle are confidential.
What is said in the Circle, stays in the Circle.
o We will use a “talking piece” that indicates
whose turn it is to talk. The talking piece will be
passed clockwise among everyone in the circle.
Agreements/Rules
o The person with the talking piece talks while everyone
else listens. #LISTEN
o No side conversations in the Circle. Everyone must be
listening while waiting their turn to participate.
#NO INTERRUPTIONS
o It is alright to pass the “talking piece” when it is your
turn to talk.
#TALK
Agreements/Rules
o Everyone will look in the eyes at the person
who is talking or that they are talking to.
o Talk to the person and not about the person.
Use “you” to talk to the person.
o We will learn how to resolve our conflicts and
let it go, move on, and build our friendships
back.
