This document provides information about the International Student Pathway (ISP) program at Pasadena City College. The ISP includes an orientation called iJam, access to counselors, coaches and tutors for student success support, and a student success course. Benefits of the ISP include priority registration, extra help from support staff, access to computer labs and tutoring at the Teaching and Learning Center. Requirements to be in the ISP include attending iJam, taking the student success class, meeting with a coach/counselor, and participating in campus activities. • A 1-week orientation before your first
semester – August 8-12, 2016
• Prepare for success from the beginning of
your PCC studies
• Learn about the PCC campus

9. Questions
• Do I have to be in Pathways?
No, but you will not get priority registration,
access to the Pathways Center, or extra help
from Pathways coaches and tutors.
Pathways students are 6-10% more successful
than non-Pathways students.

10. Questions
• What if I choose to join the ISP but decide to
skip iJam or the student success course?
These are required parts of the ISP. If you do
not participate, you will not get the benefits of
the ISP, like earlier registration, extra support
from coaches and tutors, and access to the
Second Year Pathway.

11. Questions
• If I have taken classes at another American
college, do I still need to complete all of the
Pathways requirements?
Some students arrive at PCC having completed
courses at another college or university in the
US. If this is your case, speak to PCC counselor
Amy Cheung or a coach for more information.
