Christina Payne: Design Philosophy
Good design is a result of effective communication with everyone involved.
Our surroundings should express the story of who we are and what we strive to represent.
The environment in which we live, work and play is enhanced by stimulating emotion and creating an
experience that is pleasing and memorable. It must also be functional and organized.
To unify this and enhance a person’s daily life is fulfilling and rewarding to me.

DESIGN CONCEPT:
Design Concept
The residents of Community Assisted Living are of the Baby Boomer
Generation. They are healthier, better educated and active. The living
spaces support their active lifestyles--spaces that are easy to move
about in as well as easy to maintain. They are cost, energy and envi-ronmentally
conscious. The public spaces are great for socializing and
entertaining. Some residents may face challenges performing some
normal activities of daily living. All apartments can accommodate their
special needs.
