Simple and Remarkable Ways to Improve Your Marketing Results in a Competitive Environment.
The business marketplace is like an expansive ocean filled with opportunities; you can explore its limitless market potential to find your niche and create a brand name of your own; however, there is still much out there in the vast ocean that you still haven’t encountered…yet.
The big question is - how can your brand and product stand out from your competition? How should you communicate your brand value to your target audience? And why should they listen to you?
The marketplace is saturated enough as it is with existing players (or the Big Sharks as you might come to familiarise with the term). These Big Sharks have been in the market probably longer than you have and are already dominating some of the market segments you are seeking to enter.
In this book, you will learn some of the tricks as to how SMEs (the Small Fishes), or you for that matter, can successfully create a difference in a huge business marketplace (the Big Pond).
Small Fish Conquering the Big Pond will reveal to you some of the tried and tested ideas that you as an SME can make use of to make your product stand out from your competition and capture your intended audience’s attention, without having to spend a big sum of money on marketing and advertising campaigns.
A little creativity and ingenuity are what it takes to kick-start on your own and I will show you how to get there. This book has summarised many years of crucial research and findings on how top-performing companies have invested in creative marketing strategies and innovations, which have propelled their enormous rise to success.
You will also find simple and easily implemented as well as creative marketing methods that you can use to market your products or services more effectively and in turn, achieve maximum profitability.
This presentation is about the 3 Golden Business Rules for a bigger business profits.
1. Rule of Entity - Owner and his Business are
two different entities
2. Rule of Profit - Profitable product do not equal to profitable business
3. Rule of selling - Is not What you sell is HOW you sell it.

This portfolio is a compilation of works completed by Ashley Stanton while attending FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco.
My name is Isaura Guillen and I am currently a senior at the California State Polytechnic University of Pomona. I am an Apparel Merchandising & Management Major with an emphasis in Retail. After I graduate in Fall, I hope to find a job in the marketing and merchandising field. My career goals are to be a buyer or Product Development Manager for an ethical and conscious fashion brand. I have previously completed fashion internships to gain knowledge and experience in the industry. I have completed a Public Relations Internship with Infinity Creative Agency in Los Angeles and have volunteered as a guest relations intern for the annual Los Angeles Union Station Fashion Show. Along with these internships I have 5 years of retail and sales experience and 2 years of Retail Management experience. I have an intense passion for the ethical and sustainable apparel industry and look forward to expanding my knowledge after graduation.
During my last quarter in the Merchandise Marketing program at FIDM, I created a portfolio of the classes I had taken so far. This final presentation was a mock interview for an Associate Buyer job I would want to apply for post-graduation. The following presentation exhibits examples of several projects I completed, all of which have helped me in my buying career.

innovative way to display the
merchandise. I also hung an assortment of
flowers balls to portray the natural theme
of the store.

Hunter is well known brand famous
for their logo and rain boots. The
umbrella in the middle represents
the waterproof feature of the rain
boots. In this window we wanted to
created a pleasant rainy day.

template of how the walls are to
be merchandised and
