Influence of Work-life balance in employee’s performanceMasum Hussain
Work–life balance is a concept including proper prioritizing between "work" (career and ambition) and "lifestyle" (health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual development/meditation. This is related to the idea of lifestyles choice. The work–leisure dichotomy was invented in the mid-1801s. Paul Krassner remarked that anthropologists use a definition of happiness that is to have as little separation as possible "between your work and your play". The expression "work–life balance" was first used in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s to describe the balance between an individual's work and personal life. In the United States this phrase was first used in 1986 The business case for work-life balance practices, as espoused by many organizations, rests on attracting better applicants and reducing work-life conflict among existing employees in order to enhance organizational performance. This review of the literature provides some evidence for the claim regarding recruitment, but there is insufficient evidence to support the notion that work-life practices enhance performance by means of reduced work-life conflict. We suggest that the business case may therefore need to be modified to reflect the number of additional routes by which work-life balance practices can influence organizational performance, including enhanced social exchange processes, increased cost savings, improved productivity, and reduced turnover. The impact of these processes may, however, be moderated by a number of factors, including national context, job level, and managerial support.

I could not have asked for a better realtor for my first home purchase. The conditions under
which I went shopping for my first home were numerous and difficult. Paul worked with me for
several months before we finally found my dream home. I consider Paul not only my realtor, but
my friend. Thank you, Paul.

Simply put, Paul was awesome. There are realtors and then there are REALTORS. Paul is the
latter. He's the kind of guy who not only knows the land and the community, but he practically
knows just about everybody in it. His local knowledge is extensive which makes him an
invaluable asset in finding your dream property. We enjoyed working with him and will
absolutely use his services again!

“As a first-time homebuyer, I was pleased to have Paul negotiating on my behalf. I was very
happy with the results and appreciated the time he took to show me different properties as I
explored my options in a few different towns. The end result was a great house at a great price,
and I have him, in large part, to thank for that.”

I would like to thank Paul for his expertise, patience and professionalism. Paul has tackled the
arduous task of selling my home as a short sale. During this time, he has been extremely patient
and forthcoming with every aspect. Being that I live on the East Coast, he has handled
everything. His communications skills are impeccable. I will recommend Paul as a Realtor to
anyone I know that is moving to the Pacific Northwest.

Paul was pleasant to work with. He went out of his way, worked late at night, gave professional
opinions, advice, and insight to the whole process of purchasing this house. He wasn't afraid to
ask questions of the selling party, never laughed at our ignorance and conveyed his strength and
5. knowledge in the whole situation. He is laid back but is a whirlwind of energy when he is on the
search for an answer or another house to look at. I would recommend him to anyone.

Paul was extraordinarily helpful in making sure I made a wise home purchase. He has many
professional contacts in the field that helped me with septic questions, building questions, repairs
that needed to be completed before I closed. He followed up with every necessary step with my
lender to make sure my closing timeline was met. I would highly recommend Paul Tretter to be
your real estate agent!

Throughout the process always quickly responded to my ideas and was readily available to help
me check out properties that I was interested in. Also, was very good in recognizing the things I
was looking for in properties I hadn't been aware of. He had a great working relationship with
others involved in the process, which sped things up and allowed a lot of details to be favorably
settled all the way up to signing. I was always able to get questions about any step answered
promptly and completely.

Paul was referred to me and as I was out of town I needed someone local who new the area and
heard what I was looking for and what I wanted....as I would be coming into town to shop and
didn't want to look at properties that weren't appropriate. However not sure what I wanted so the
hearing I am referring to was the reading between the lines of what I wanted to accomplish and
gain which Paul did superbly!
One 1/2 day of looking at vetted properties and found the perfect, I mean perfect lot!
I put an offer in the next morning before leaving town. I only give Paul a 4 for negotiation skills
as I had a friend with me who insisted I low ball and even Paul was a bit surprised by such a low
offer, which was of course rejected ,yet Paul's negotiation skills were essential in that he
persistently said that was the opening offer come back with a number and wow what a number I
signed immediately on their offer.
The paper work was a breeze Paul handled it all ....assisted with the well water testing and the
inspection of the property....
The whole process was simple, easy, there were not problems, no stress, things happened timely.
Paul always left messages as where things were and when I would be contacted or expected to
have things wrapped up....he communicated well electronically whether through skype or email
so it was a breeze.
I can highly recommend Paul he worked for me not his commission!
