The Kent PSN, govroam and HSCN
The document discusses how to bring together people, buildings, networks, and mobility to support collaboration between health and social care in Kent. Jisc plans to upgrade the Janet network to have 600gbps core capacity and use 400gbps optical technology. It will also rearchitect the regional network and explore network virtualization. Jisc will launch several new cybersecurity services including a security portal, DDoS mitigation, and a security conference. It will also offer cloud migration consulting, improve the geospatial service through a partnership, and expand the National Bibliographic Knowledgebase. Additionally, Jisc will provide various digital capability and learning analytics services.

Jisc plans to upgrade the Janet network to have 600gbps core capacity and use 400gbps optical technology. It will also rearchitect the regional network and explore network virtualization. Jisc will launch several new cybersecurity services including a security portal, DDoS mitigation, and a security conference. It will also offer cloud migration consulting, improve the geospatial service through a partnership, and expand the National Bibliographic Knowledgebase. Additionally, Jisc will provide various digital capability and learning analytics services.

The importance of trust and identity to the network continues to grow in step with the rapid expansion in the scale and complexity of delivering services and content to distant users. This presents technical and resource challenges to those charged with providing these capabilities. In this session, we explore how Jisc and other organisations and initiatives are responding to the opportunities and challenges faced by institutions.

accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.

of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
