It is my pleasure to recommend Patrick Mattes for a teaching position in your
school. I had the privilege of working with Patrick from October 2013 to the present in
my fourth grade classroom at Lotus School. Patrick has shown an aptitude for the
teaching profession and would be a great addition to your school.
During his tenure at Lotus School, Patrick has worked with students of varying
ability level in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. He has gained
experience with guided reading, Read Naturally, and Targeted Reading, as well as the
various subjects in math, social studies and science. Patrick was responsible for
implementing our Tier II reading program, as well as working with our special education
population as a fourth grade aide. He has handled all of these responsibilities with
enthusiasm and vigor that is indicative of an experienced teacher.
Patrick is enthusiastic, hardworking, resourceful and shows great initiative. He
has consistently demonstrated his knowledge in many different subject areas, and is
always willing to take on a new project or help out in any way needed. He takes great
care to meet the needs of the students both academically and socially, forming many
positive relationships with the students. While doing this, he remains an influential role
model and respected teacher.
Patrick has a great balance of knowledge, enthusiasm and professionalism. He
has retained a wonderful rapport with the students and staff in the building. It is my
belief that Patrick Mattes would make a fantastic addition to your staff and learning
community.
