2. Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Patrick Hawkins Jr. I am originally from Augusta,
Georgia and moved to Atlanta upon finishing my Bachelor’s Degree in
Drama Education from Piedmont College. I have been teaching Pre-
Kindergarten for four years and have enjoyed every moment. I began
teaching at a KinderCare Learning Center after finishing college. I taught
there are a few months and realized that this was not the path that I
wanted to be on to become a great educator. So, I left and had a great
opportunity to teach an Afterschool Program and my own Private Pre-
Kindergarten class. This opportunity at Core Kids Academy in Duluth,
Georgia, made for a great success because I was able to take charge at
my own curriculum and goals that I wanted for my students. Eventually at
the end of my second year teaching there, God had gave me a bigger
opportunity to learn a new method of teaching. I started to teach
Montessori at The Suzuki School in Buckhead. From the beginning of my
first day I knew that this was a new path that could teach me more about
how students learn at a young age and how they develop mentally,
socially, and emotionally. I am currently still teaching at The Suzuki School
in a Primary class ages 3-5 with two other teachers. I hope to one day get
in a county school system and have the opportunity to change more lives
and shape minds of our future leaders and citizens.

4. Educational Leader
I want to become an educational leader,
because I want to transform the way that
education is viewed as a whole and close the
achievement gap among all students. Being a
leader, you have to be a transformational
leader and want change to happen for the
better of the students and their goals in the
future. I am the type of person that can make
these changes and make a school successful
and accomplish goals to better the world of
education.

5. Interest/Hobbies
Currently, I am trying to get back into Theatre
and singing on stage. I love entertaining
people and taking them out of their world
and into a world of make believe. I also love
crafting and decorating homes. I am in the
process of creating new wall art for my home
and sharing it friends and helping them with
their homes. I enjoy reading and being drawn
into a world unlike mine.

6. Interest/Hobbies
