Effects of smoking<br />Smoking Affects the immune system which increases the risk of getting cancers. <br />Increases your heart rate which can led to heart attacks. <br />One in two lifetime smokers will die from their habit half of these deaths will occur in middle age. <br />It slows your blood flow, cutting off oxygen to your feet and hands. Some smokers end up having their limbs amputated.<br />

Tobacco Industry <br />Tobacco, is one of the most widely used addictive substances in the world<br />The tobacco industry includes people and companies engaged in the growth, preparation for sale, shipment, advertisement, and distribution of tobacco and tobacco-related products.<br />The tobacco industry is worth $157 billion dollars.<br />They spend $8.4 billion on advertising annually. <br />

Second Hand Smoke Facts<br />Second-hand smoke in a vehicle can be 23 times more toxic than in a house because of the smaller space.<br />Second-hand smoke has twice as much nicotine and tar compared to the smoke that the smoker inhales. <br />Second-hand smoke causes between 1,100 – 7,800 deaths per year in Canada.<br />

Smoking Facts <br />Smoking-related diseases kill 1 in 10 adults globally<br />Someone dies every eight seconds from tobacco use<br />Every minute 10 million cigarettes are sold<br />Among teens (aged 13 to 15), about one in five smokes worldwide.<br />Approximately 80% of adult smokers started smoking before the age of 18. <br />
