This paper contends that the real understanding of natural language and the fulfillment of cloud computing cannot be reached without dealing with the significant sentimental factor. This paper points out that the achievement and enjoyment of cloud computing is highly reliant on break throughs in advanced intelligence. In this paper, advanced intelligence refers to the high level of interaction between natural intelligence and artificial intelligence.
We introduce intelligent computing language in the software so that machines can take decisions autonomously and in real time. By applying artificial intelligence to the cloud, we are hoping to develop a system through which computers can manage themselves. For example, computer scientists are looking to develop software that follows computers’ power consumption and regulates their operation according to the specific needs at any given time, thus reducing energy expenditure.
Implanting artificial intelligence into codes that will run in the cloud to improve efficiency is one of the strong research lines. Its part of a drive to create applications, executed in the cloud that goes beyond basic automation to anticipate situations and take decisions in real time over the Internet. We introduce intelligent computing language in the software so that machines can take decisions autonomously and in real time.
Smart Data Slides: Modern AI and Cognitive Computing - Boundaries and Opportu...DATAVERSITY
We will kickoff the 2017 series with an overview of the current state of commercial artificial intelligence (AI) and cognitive computing. The research and commercial communities are far from consensus on a few important definitions, so we will start with two that are critical to our understanding and analysis.
#ModernAI applies research from computer science, psychology, mathematics, linguistics and neuroscience to develop problem-solving applications that supplant or augment human intellectual performance. Unlike more traditional AI R&D, #ModernAI typically leverages machine learning and big data.
Cognitive computing is a problem-solving approach based on #ModernAI that focuses on processes for understanding, reasoning, learning and planning.
In this webinar, we will present a framework for analyzing modern AI/cognitive computing tools and technologies, with an emphasis on the risks and reward of adopting them at varying stages of maturity.
Reinforcement learning is the next revolution in artificial intelligence (AI). As a feedback-driven and agent-based learning technology stack that is suitable for dynamic environments, reinforcement learning methodologies leverage self-learning capabilities and multi-agent potential to address issues that are unaddressed by other AI techniques. In contrast, other machine learning, AI techniques like supervised learning and unsupervised learning are limited to handling one task at a given time.
With the advent of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), reinforcement learning becomes important in addressing other challenges like multi-tasking of intelligent applications across different ecosystems. The technology appears set to drive the adoption of AGI technologies, with companies futureproofing their AGI roadmaps by leveraging reinforcement learning techniques.

Patent Landscape Report on Shape Memory Material – Polymer and AlloyGridlogics
A shape-memory alloy (SMA, smart metal, memory metal, memory alloy, muscle wire, smart alloy) is an alloy that "remembers" its original shape and that when deformed returns to its pre-deformed shape when heated. Similarly shape-memory polymers (SMPs) are polymeric smart materials that have the ability to return from a deformed state (temporary shape) to their original (permanent) shape induced by an external stimulus (trigger), such as temperature change.
SMAs also display super elasticity, which is characterized by recovery of unusually large strains. Instead of transforming between the martensite and austenite phases in response to temperature, this phase transformation can be induced in response to mechanical stress. When SMAs are loaded in the austenite phase, the material will transform to the martensite phase above a critical stress, proportional to the transformation temperatures.
SMPs can retain two or sometimes three shapes, and the transition between those is induced by temperature. In addition to temperature change, the shape change of SMPs can also be triggered by an electric or magnetic field, light or solution. As well as polymers in general, SMPs also cover a wide property-range from stable to biodegradable, from soft to hard, and from elastic to rigid, depending on the structural units that constitute the SMP. SMPs include thermoplastic and thermoset (covalently cross-linked) polymeric materials. SMPs are known to be able to store up to three different shapes in memory.
This report covers patent analysis on types and applications of nano fuel additives, its research momentum and key intellectual property indicators. There is considerable difference between the Chinese and US share in application and patents. Chinese applicants accounted for the largest number of patents filed throughout the world. Only 5 (CN, US, JP, WO, EP) out of the total 17 patent offices have reported growth over the last decade. China has recorded double digit growth between 2011-2013. Nano particles is an area where companies have a scope of carrying out research as most of the companies focus on few of the total nano particles used as fuel additives. In spite of the fact that Chevron has smaller portfolio than the major companies; it can be seen that companies like Shell and UOP have cited its records indicating a likely overlap in their R&D focus. This report was prepared using PatSeer and Patent iNSIGHT Pro.
This report takes a look into the patenting activity around gallium Nitride uncovering the companies, inventors, and key applications.
GaN is a binary III-V direct bandgap semiconductor commonly used in LEDs. Its wide-band gap of 3.4 eV affords its special properties for applications in optoelectronic, high-power and high-frequency devices. Because GaN offers very high breakdown voltages, high electron mobility, and saturation velocity it is also an ideal candidate for high-power and high-temperature microwave applications like RF power amplifiers at microwave frequencies and high-voltage switching devices for power grids. Solutions that use GaN-based RF transistors are also replacing the magnetrons used in microwave ovens.
Gallium Nitride (GaN) transistor models have evolved from GaAs (gallium arsenide) transistor models; however there are many advantages GaN offers:
• Higher operating voltage (over 100-V breakdown)
• Higher operating temperature (over 150°C channel temperature)
• Higher power density (5 to 30 W/mm)
• Durable and crack-resistant material
GaN devices are often grown on SiC (silicon carbide) substrates, but to achieve lower-cost GaN devices, they can be grown on sapphire and silicon wafers. GaN’s wide bandgap allows for higher breakdown voltages and operation at high temperatures. The high thermal conductivity of SiC makes it a better substrate than silicon for power amplifier applications that require good heat sinking.

Contact lenses are considered medical devices and can be worn to correct vision, or for cosmetic or therapeutic reasons. People choose to wear contact lenses for many reasons. Aesthetics and cosmetics are often motivating factors for people who would like to avoid wearing glasses or would like to change the appearance of their eyes. Other people wear contacts for functional or optical reasons. When compared with spectacles, contact lenses typically provide better peripheral vision, and do not collect moisture such as rain, snow, condensation, or sweat.
Contact lenses can be classified in many different ways. Contact lenses can be separated by their primary function, material, wear schedule i.e. how long a lens can be worn before removing it and replacement schedule i.e. how long before a lens needs to be discarded. Typically, soft contact lenses are mass-produced, while rigid lenses are custom-made to exact specifications for specific individual patients.
When it comes to contact lenses, it’s very important to know exactly what’s inside of them, or better yet, what they’re made of. Materials used have varied throughout the years. Earlier times called for more rigid materials that didn’t allow much oxygen to get to your eye. But as technology has improved, so has the availability of products.
This report takes a look into the patenting activity around contact lens uncovering the inventors, the companies and key technologies and prominent companies within this space.
Using PatSeer to search and analyze patents in Switchgear TechnologyGridlogics
Switchgear is the combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit
breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment. Switchgears are used both to de-energize equipment to allow work to be done and to clear faults downstream. This type of equipment is directly linked to the reliability of the electricity supply.
3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making a three-dimensional solid object of virtually any shape from a digital model. 3D printing is achieved using an additive process, where successive layers of material are laid down in different shapes. 3D printing is also considered distinct from traditional machining techniques, which mostly rely on the removal of material by methods such as cutting or drilling (subtractive processes).
This report takes a look into the patenting activity around 3D printing uncovering the inventors, the companies and key technologies and prominent companies within this space.
Graphene is an allotrope of carbon, whose structure is one-atom-thick planar sheets of sp2-bonded carbon atoms that are densely packed in a honeycomb crystal lattice.
The development of this technology is still largely research-based, with a relatively large portion of academic participation, although real-world consumer applications such as flexible touchscreen displays are getting closer to reality and could be widely available within the next few years.
Because of its range of extraordinary properties, people are considering using graphene in a myriad of different applications. For example, because graphene is so strong, people want to use it to reinforce plastics, making them conductive at the same time. Because it's transparent and conducts electricity, people want to use it in applications like mobile phone screens, touch screens, TV screens and so on. People are also considering using it to go beyond silicon technology and make our integrated circuits even denser and speedier.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
