NEGATIVE FORM To write NEGATIVE sentences we need the auxiliary verb  DID + NOT (DIDN’T) and the root of the verb. EX.:  Alex went rafting yesterday. QUESTION FORM To write QUESTIONS we need the auxiliary verb  DID and the root of the verb and follow this structure: WH- questions Interrogative pronoun + Auxiliary verb + subject + main verb + complements ? Pronunciation of Final "-ed" We add  “ -ed ”  to regular verbs to change them into the past tense. There are 3 ways of pronouncing final  “ ed: ” Simple Past Regular Verbs Please Remember It is the  sound  (not the spelling) that is important. For example, we pronounce the  “ gh ”  in  “ laugh ”  as  /f/ , so  laughed (/t/) . Write the past tense of the verbs in the purple box on the right in the correct places.
