1. PAST CONTINUOUS
(keyword = aan het)
Susan was reading a book last night.
They were having dinner.
Zij waren aan het eten.
2. Hoe maak je een past continuous?
Voor een continuous heb je 3 dingen nodig:
1. Een vorm van to be, in de verleden tijd is dat was of were
2. Een heel werkwoord
3. Ing
Wat is de verleden tijd van to be?
I was
You were
Shit was
We were
They were
Dan krijg je dus:
Peter was doing his homework.
My parents were watching TV.
The kids were making a phone call (LET OP SPELLING, de E gaat weg!)
3. MINI SHOW THAT YOU KNOW
was/were wwing
1. He _________ (do) his homework yesterday.
2. Kelly ________ (read) a magazine last night.
3. My parents _______ (be) too nosy about my whatsapps.
4. The children ________ (play) football.
5. I _________ (look) at the nice boy.
When I was young I liked the Teletubbies
Peter sneezed because he had a cold.
gebeurde...
Mr Moon was watching a movie when Mrs Maes walked in.
Mrs De Kock was reading a book when Mrs Kops called.
gebeurde. Het keyword is dan while.
Mr Moon was watching a movie while Mrs Maes was talking to him
6. SHOW THAT YOU KNOW
1. I (to type) when my computer (to crash).
I was typing when my computer crashed.
2. Bess (to sleep) when the accident (to happen).
3. They (to eat) when the mail (to come).
4. Nick (to watch) a movie when I (to call).
5. We (to fly) when we (to see) the volcano.
6. You (to wait) when the shop (to open).
7. I (to read) when Joe (to go) out.
8. Bo (to brush) her hair when the brush (to break).
