3. Introduction:
As you all may agree that digital transformation is happening, and
businesses has moved beyond their perimeter. Personnel’s nowadays
has the flexibility to work from anywhere and on any device. Major
percentage of data loss happens due to stolen password so you may
want to supplement password using MFA but there is another method
to secure your environment which is Phone Sign in.
With the help of Microsoft Authenticator app, we can utilize this
feature.

4. Enable MFA
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) helps safeguard access to data and
applications while maintaining simplicity for users. It provides
additional security by requiring a second form of authentication
In order to use Phone Sign in, you must enable Multi Factor
Authentication for all your users.

5. Enabling Phone Sign-in using PowerShell
For public preview, an admin must first add a policy via powershell to
allow use of the credential in the tenant.
Connect to Azure AD using PowerShell and then run command –
New-AzureADPolicy -Type AuthenticatorAppSignInPolicy -Definition
'{"AuthenticatorAppSignInPolicy":{"Enabled":true}}' -
isOrganizationDefault $true -DisplayName AuthenticatorAppSignIn
