This document provides information and instructions for faculty regarding setting up daily Jenzabar uploads and Google Drive settings. It recommends only adding an elmira.edu address to the system settings and notes that using personal mail through ANGEL is not recommended. It also lists various technology resources available to faculty like Google Apps, the campus wireless network, media controls, and podcasting/videoconferencing. Contact information is provided for the help desk and two staff members for training on ANGEL, Google Apps, and instructional strategies.

- #4 ANGEL is not a video server and consequently videos should not uploading directly to your courses. Instead embed streaming videos such as YouTube and TedTalk in ANGEL pages and organize these pages into folders, providing a goto repository for your students.
- #5 Explain percentage or points mode, categories, and assignments. Point out tutorials, guides, and FAQ’s but recommend an appointment with IT staff.
- #7 Your student probably already has an e-mail account through Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or a similar service. That’s fine, but they need to check their Elmira e-mail frequently, because that’s the e-mail address we use to send them important information on financial aid, class assignments, campus issues, and emergency notifications. And the Student Handbook requires it!
- #8 Check ANGEL e-mail regularly.
- #11 Google Apps administrative and organizational tools: Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts.
- #13 You and your students will be able to taken advantage of an all-campus wireless network (administrative buildings, classrooms, and dorms) with their laptops, smart phones, and tablets. At this time Blackboard still does not support browsing of ANGEL with mobile devices but does off a paid app Blackboard Mobile Learn.
- #16 Go to http://360.io/8TXUAC for a pano of Harris 2. Students will see visible new changes in many classrooms on campus including painted walls, carpeting, furniture, ceiling fans, compact lecterns, and interactive multimedia projection technology. These exciting, interactive technologies and expanded writing surfaces are used by both faculty and their students.
