Napoleon Bonaparte decided to build this arch after his victory in the battle of Austerlitz, after promising his men "to return home under triumphal arches."
The Basilica of Sacre-Coeur The Basilica of Sacre-Coeur is a famous building in Paris, located on the top of the Montmartre hill. This is a basilica to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, was conceived as a public monument to honor the memory of the many French citizens who lost their lives during the Franco-Prussian War and atone for the sins committed by the commune.
