Learning English as a Second Language
Classes ESL ELA (90 minutes):  for students at a beginning or low intermediate level of English. Students put on a play. Students learn U.S. culture. Students practice speaking, reading, writing, and listening in English. They learn the same topics that are taught in a regular Language Arts class.
Classes ESL Study Skills : for students at the high intermediate or advanced level of English. 7th/8th grade Food Bank Ads 6th Grade pose on the last day This is an elective course. Students learn advanced English strategies and receive help on other class work.

Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. ESL Tutoring Required for students who don’t turn in their work.

Homework: 1 st  Period Find one word each day that you do not know and write it in your agenda. Read in English every night and fill in the chart.  This is due on Friday.
Homework: Study Skills Write  one word each day  that you do not know in your agenda.  Also, write  homework  for each class in your  agenda . Read  for 30 minutes each night and fill in the  homework blog  under ESL on typepad. (If you don’t have a computer or internet, then ask me for a log sheet.)
