PARAMETRIC INTERIOR DESIGN
WITH
BIOMORPHISM
WHAT IS BIOMORPHIC?
Coined by Geoffrey Grigson in1935.
Resembling or suggesting the form of living organism to
create aesthetic harmony and to solve human problems.
WHY BIOMORPHIC?
 Visual Connection with Nature
 Promotes Harmony between human habitation and
the natural world
 Designed with ecological awareness to create
environmentally friendly Architecture
WHAT IS PARAMETRIC DESIGN?
It is a process based on algorithmic thinking that
enables the expression of parameters and rules that,
together, define, encode and clarify the relationship
between intent and design response.
WHY PARAMETRIC?
Parametric can be define as a tool that provides for a
powerful conception of Architectural form.
How?
• by describing a range of possibilities.
• by replacing stable/constant with variables.
• by replacing singularity with multiplicity.

Parametric applications
in interiors and coatings.
Positives of parametric design in interior
design
• Possibility of achieving diversity with harmony and
rhythm using the unit, making it is applied in an
integrated standards design.
• Possibility of adding a fourth dimension (movement)
by controlling the configuration.
• The possibility of an amendment to the part of the
design and then apply automatically to the rest of
the design.
Cons of parametric design in interior design
• Non- turnout of designers largely because of the exit
of the change and the need for training.
• Parametric design compatible with modern designs,
but its compatible only in a very narrow range with
the old models and popular traditions.
• Needs highly skilled in the use of designated
programs.
