The paper examines how Romanian politicians utilized Facebook for voter mobilization during the 2012 parliamentary and 2014 euro-parliamentary elections, focusing on communication strategies and follower interactions. It analyzes the limited interactivity and communication effectiveness on Facebook, revealing a tendency for politicians to primarily share information rather than engage directly with voters. The findings indicate a 'silent facebook communication effect' where active presence does not equate to meaningful voter interaction, highlighting the need for improved strategies in future campaigns.
