2. Tragic hero
A good man coming to bad end (it is shocking and
disturbs faith)
A bad man coming to good end (neither moving ,nor
moral)
A bad man coming to bad end (moral but not moving)
A rather Good man-coming to bad end (an ideal
situation )
3. According to Aristotle……
Aristotle disqualifies two type of character.
Purely virtuous and Thoroughly bad.
He should be a man of mixed character ,neither
blameless nor absolutely depraved.
He must fall form height to prosperity of glory.
The protagonist should be renowned and
prosperous.
His change to fortune can be from good to bad.
And fall of such man of eminence affects entire
state and nation.
4. Aristotle Conception to the Tragic
Hero
What is Tragic Hero ?
Accordingly, Aristotle says that the Tragic Hero
Will most effectively evoke both our pity and terror
if he is neither thoroughly good nor thoroughly
bad nut a mixture of both.

What is Tragedy ?
Tragedy term is broadly applied to literary And
especially to dramatic, representation of serious
action which eventuate , in a Disastrous
conclusion for the protagonist.
6. Characteristic of Tragic Hero
An Aristotelian tragic hero have must four
characteristic:
Nobleness (of a noble birth)or wisdom(by virtue of
birth).
Hamartia(translated as tragic flaw ,somewhat
related to hubris ,but denoting excess in behavior
or mistake).
A reversal of fortune (perihelia) brought about
because of the hero’s tragic error.
The discovery or recognition that the reversal was
brought about but the hero’s own action.
