This document summarizes a student design project for a sustainable classroom of the future. A high school class partnered with an architectural consultant to enter an international design competition. Their design proposed a modular geodesic dome structure made of steel and solar panels. It featured natural ventilation, smart glass walls, and energy generation through solar, wind, and human movement. Water would be conserved through rainwater harvesting and graywater reuse. The classroom was designed to have minimal environmental impact and energy needs through sustainable materials and integrated renewable energy systems. It could be produced cost effectively and provide educational and health benefits for occupants.
