• Monitor, troubleshoot and analyze production defect, internal QA failures and local and

In charge of Design Quality Group for Bdp Players: The team is directly responsible for
worldwide market quality of Bdp Players. Conduct weekly meetings with US, Europe and Asia
market service centers for quality feedback and counter actions.
2012 to 2014: Front End Project Leader for Blu-ray and Optical Device <Cost Reduction of Part>
Lead for Design Evaluation to MP stages for all models in Sony Penang. Key Person with MTK
(Taiwan), Designer (Japan & Malaysia) and PE/Production for new BDV models and FW.
*Achieved cost saving of RM3.5 million and this enabled the of the Optical Device price by USD$1.00.
2009 to 2012: New Project/Model Introduction <Product Transfer>
Responsibilities include:
-> Transfer of BDRE Drive Design from Japan to Malaysia.
-> Transfer of the Production Line for new model from Japan and set up in Malaysia.
*Completed the project quicker by 2 months than the original target of 8 months.
1999 to 2009: Leader for DVD Optical parts and Mechanical deck <Supplier Quality Control>
In charge of liaising with local and overseas partners for Part Quality & Cost Reduction.
*Key Project: Audited, evaluated and approved supplier parts and process lines in China.
*Key Project: Initiated cost saving activity for DVD Optical Unit.
*Part Quality for various VHS mechanical parts

• Study new Test Module for Sound Quality and Dust Contamination
• Target: (i) Introduce New High Resolution Sound System

• Gold Quest Project – To Reduce Servo Jig Quantity
