Healthcare professionals have an obligation to provide compassionate care to patients while adhering to their code of ethics. They may be involved in end-of-life discussions and should ensure patients receive information on advance directives. By studying real cases, professionals can understand how to balance their moral beliefs with their ethical duties regarding end-of-life issues. This project requires analyzing the Terri Schiavo case to identify the bioethical issues around self-determination and advance directives. The analysis will consider how these end-of-life concerns influenced the decisions of those involved in Terri Schiavo's care.
