defined in two fundamental realms of perception, including the heart and mind. In the heart,

The primary goal of nursing is to assist individuals, families, and communities in achieving
better health outcomes through the promotion of health, as well as restoration and
maintenance of good health amidst illnesses. In doing so, nurses tend to understand
people’s interactions with their environments, as well as the implications of such
interactions on their health outcomes. The Key Values in My Philosophy Various values
underpin my nursing philosophy. They include compassion, dignity, integrity, obedience,
collaboration, and determination. The value of compassion arises from the understanding
that people often experience various challenges in life. Majority of such challenges emanate
from poor health statuses. As such, nursing is one practice through which I can help ease the
pain that people experience. The value of dignity arises from the understanding and

Science I would describe nursing as both an art and science. As an art, nursing transcends
theoretical basis of the practice to include the actual implementation of skills, experiences,

critical things in the world. Human beings tend to undergo many challenges in life. Health
