- Explain the purpose of lab and lecture and what to expect: Computer lab classes tend to be a combination of independent work and guided work. Traditionally, purpose of lecture is to learn the knowledge and purpose of lab is to apply the skill. We’ll still do that here except for the lecture: flipped class is where you listen to lecture (gain knowledge) at home (homework) and apply (put to work) the knowledge. So for our purposes, lecture is expanding and applying (discussing, debating, questioning) the lecture material (homework) and lab is using the lecture material (homework) to make things.
- Negative space is, quite simply, the space that surrounds an object in a image.
