4. Add Title
Before we start with the lesson,
write down your idea on the
question:
5. Learning Objectives:
1. I can identify the factors that allow a planet to
support life.
2. I can explain the different factors that make
Earth unique and habitable
3. I can recognize the different factors that make Earth
habitable
4. I can practice respecting ones’ opinion
5. I can help in saving the planet Earth for damage and
extinction.
8. Goldilocks Zone or Habitable Zone
The 'Goldilocks
Zone,' or
habitable zone,
is the range of
distance with the
right temperatures
for water to
remain liquid
10. Earth
The third planet from the sun
and the fifth largest in the solar
system.
A terrestrial planet located in
the Goldilocks zone (habitable
zone)
Has unique physical
characteristics and chemical
characteristics compare to
other neighboring planets
The only habitable planet
known in the Solar System that
can support life
25. Post Activity
Answer the following:
Why Earth is the only planet in the Solar system that can
support life?
Is there a possibility that there are other planets that are
habitable aside from earth?
26. A special planet: The habitable
Earth
The liquid water makes the planet earth
habitable compared to other planets.
The Earth is habitable because it lies within a
very specific zone in the solar system where life
can flourish. The Earth is in a habitable zone
where liquid water can exist; by comparison, it is
too hot on Venus and Mercury and too cold on
Mars or any of the gas giants.
