Mina Margo Spasic conducted primary research by distributing a 10 question questionnaire about film opening sequences to 50 students and teachers at their school to determine audience preferences. The questionnaire gathered information on demographics, genre preferences, elements respondents wanted included in openings like main characters, music, dialogue, and whether they would continue watching a film about a troubled artist going crazy. The results were later analyzed and compiled into graphs and pie charts.
