Take some tips from an experienced practitioner and don’t get caught up in the “myths” about EU funding.
The important thing is to approach it with the right perspective. If the funding opportunity described in the Calls is aligned with your R&D strategy, then it is almost worth doing it for zero grant. This might seem extreme but organisations do!!
Together with your partners you have the opportunity to participate in a huge R&D pool, hold this view and don’t become buried in detail.

1st Training Course: Planning dissemination and communicationHaivisio CSA project
This document outlines the key components of an effective dissemination and communication plan, including defining the purpose, identifying target audiences or stakeholders, determining appropriate messages and channels, establishing a timeline, and considering where dissemination will take place. An effective plan answers questions about why the dissemination is occurring, who the target groups are, what can be disseminated, how the information will be shared, when activities will happen, and where outreach will focus. The goal is to strategically communicate the appropriate messages to stakeholders through tailored, well-timed methods.

Webinar 3 (Abstract.it) - Open data e Open Source: l'accoppiata vincente e concreta.

It illustrates Open Science and Open data policies in Europe, EOSC, Horizon 2020 OA requirements, state of the art of OA in Italy; OA publishing and impact on research, OpenAIRE
Introductory course on Open Science principles, initiatives, OA routes, OA publishing, Horizon 2020, OpenAIRE for PhD students delivered at the University of Milano Bicocca
The document summarizes the European Commission's policies and initiatives regarding open access to publications resulting from publicly funded research. It discusses the EC's Seventh Framework Programme which provides funding for open access publishing costs. It also describes the Open Access Pilot Project which encourages researchers to make publications open access within 6-12 months. Finally, it outlines the OpenAire project which aims to implement the open access pilot and promote open access in Europe.
The document discusses why European research and education policies should include open access. It argues that open access maximizes access to and impact of scientific research, fosters innovation, and drives economic growth. Open access improves research quality and enables knowledge sharing, international collaboration, and the fulfillment of institutions' goals to disseminate and advance knowledge. The European Union supports open access through various policies and projects aimed at creating a European Research Area with free circulation of knowledge.
CARE is a 3-year project of the Conference of Italian University Rectors to coordinate access to electronic resources. Its main objectives are to improve access and services, promote national deals, negotiate license terms, and address issues like VAT taxes. CARE has initiated national deals with publishers like Elsevier and Springer. It is working to expand user and library rights in licenses around issues like authorized users, permitted uses, interlibrary loan, open access, and archival access. Open challenges include balancing user and library rights with publisher interests around topics such as metadata, platforms, and content quality.

by default - with some opt outs/as open access as possible, as closed as
necessary

16. Horizon 2020 - Progetto Pilota sui Dati della
ricerca
validare i risultati nelle pubblicazioni
scientifiche
Altri dati, inclusi anche i metadati,
come riportati nel Data Management
Plan, per es. i dati grezzi
19
20. Chi è coinvolto nella gestione dei dati
https://www.openaire.eu/briefpaper-rdm-infonoads
22. Data Management Plan
Tutti i progetti finanziati che raccolgono o
generano dati dovranno sviluppare un Data
Management plan (DMP)
data Management guidelines in Horizon 2020), ciascun progetto
puo’ creare il proprio piano. (Vedi Modello adottato da Ca’ Foscari)
purché risponda ai requisiti
• Una versione online del DMP secondo i requisiti
di Horizon 2020 è disponibile messo a
disposizione dal Digital Curation Centre (DCC)-
UK http://dmponline.dcc.ac.uk

archiviazione,
Quali dati saranno creati (formati, tipologia, grandezza)
Standard e metodologie utilizzate (incl. metadati)
scientifica (minimally!).
• I metadati associati: the dataset’s creator, title, year of publication,
repository, identifier etc.
– Follow a metadata standard in your line of work, or a generic standard, e.g. Dublin
Core or DataCite., and be FAIR.
– The repository will assign a persistent ID to the dataset: important for discovering
and citing the data.
• Documentazione ad es. code books, lab journals, informed consent
forms – domain-dependent, and important for understanding the data
and combining them with other data sources.
• Software, hardware, tools, syntax queries, machine configurations –
domain-dependent, and important for using the data. (Alternative:
information about the software etc.)
But more is welcome! More data, more information in the package… and
described in the DMP.FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific

FAIR Principles
• Findable/Rintracciabili
– Assign persistent IDs, rich metadata,
register repository in a searchable
resource...
• Accessible/Accessibili
– Retrievable by their ID using a standard
protocol, metadata remain accessible
even if data aren’t...
• Interoperable/Interoperabili
– Use formal, broadly applicable
languages, use standard vocabularies,
qualified references...
• Reusable/Riutilizzabili
– Rich, accurate metadata, clear licences,
provenance, use of community
standards...
