This paper is devoted to the crowd sensing applications. Crowd sensing (mobile crowd sensing in our case) is a new sensing paradigm based on the power of the crowd with the sensing capabilities of mobile devices, such as smartphones or wearable devices. This power is based on the smartphones, usually equipped with multiple sensors. So, it enables to collect local information from the individual’s surrounding environment with the help of sensing features of the mobile devices. In this paper, we provide the review of the back-end systems (data stores, etc.) for mobile crowd sensing systems. The main goal of this review is to propose the software architecture for mobile crowd sensing in Smart City environment. We discuss also the deployment of cloud-back-ends in Russia.

Eric Boyd, Internet2, Over the past 25 years, the modern Internet evolved in labs and dorms at R&E-enabled campuses, leading to the creation of large and successful companies such as Cisco, Mosaic, Facebook, Google, and Box. The pervasive bandwidth-rich environment found on campuses incubated technology development and enabled the creation of large scale early adopter communities that evolved into the Internet-centered commercial markets that exist today. The R&E Community has opportunity to once again serve as the laboratory for Internet innovation, and Internet2 is investing heavily in the resources needed by the R&E community to begin that new era of innovation. By recreating the bandwidth advantage historically held by R&E institutions and opening the network software stack to innovation, Internet2 seeks to create a new bandwidth-rich, programmable network for science, scholarship and service. This talk will cover Internet2's investment in the Network Development and Deployment Initiative (NDDI) in partnership with Indiana University and the Clean Slate Program at Stanford University. It will give details on the new opportunities for network innovation at R&E campuses enabled by the NDDI substrate, such as the recently launched Open Science, Services, and Scholarship Exchange (OS3E). It will also talk about how this creates an environment to support both scientific research and network research in labs and dorm rooms across the country and around the globe.

Intelligent Loop is a mobile enterprise software company that provides easy to use applications that solve pressing business problems.
Tool management software eliminates time spent searching for equipment, cuts the cost of replacing misplaced tools, and handles the logistics of assigning tools to jobsites and checking tools out to personnel. Beyond tool tracking, the Tools Management app also tracks warranty expiration information, scheduled maintenance dates and various financial information such as depreciation.

Slides from my talk on R&D innovation projects around the Janet network for the HEAnet / Juniper Innovation Day, September 2015. I talk about some recent Janet R&D initiatives such as our Reach scheme for connecting industry to the network, our end to end performance initiative, and our Safe Share project for secure access to sensitive data by researchers - e.g. medical records. There is also a recap of some of our recent activity around equipment sharing, our shared data centre, connectivity and deals with major cloud providers.

Grid computing or network computing is developed to make the available electric power in the similar way
as it is available for the grid. For that we just plug in the power and whoever needs power, may use it. In
grid computing if a system needs more power than available it can share the computing with other
machines connected in a grid. In this way we can use the power of a super computer without a huge cost
and the CPU cycles that were wasted previously can also be utilized. For performing grid computation in
joined computers through the internet, the software must be installed which supports grid computation on
each computer inside the VO. The software handles information queries, storage management, processing
scheduling, authentication and data encryption to ensure information security.
CORD aims to bring the data center economy and cloud agility to the service provider networks and is an end-to-end solution for the next generation central offices. CORD leverages three related technologies: SDN, NFV, and Cloud and builds on merchant silicon, white boxes and open-source platforms such as ONOS, OpenStack, and XOS. ON.Lab, AT&T and partners demonstrated CORD POC at ONS2015 and are now building a CORD POD for a market trial.
The CORD thought leaders and developers introduce CORD, explain the motivation from a service provider perspective, discuss CORD architecture, related services and key use cases including vOLT, vSG and vRouter.

This webinar explains why PISA chips are inevitable, provides overview of machine architecture of such switches, presents a brief primer on the P4 language with sample programs for a variety of networks and demonstrates a powerful network diagnostics application implemented in P4.
Programmability in SDNs is confined to the network control plane. The forwarding plane is still largely dictated by fixed-function switching chips. Our goal is to change that, and to allow programmers to define how packets are to be processed all the way down to the wire.
This is made possible by a new generation of high-performance forwarding chips. At the high-end, PISA (Protocol-Independent Switch Architecture) chips promise multi-Tb/s of packet processing. At the mid- and low-end of the performance spectrum, CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and NPUs already offer great flexibility with performance of a few tens to hundreds of Gb/s.
In addition to programmable forwarding chips, we also need a high-level language to dictate the forwarding behavior in a target independent fashion. "P4" (www.p4.org) is such a language. In P4, the programer declares how packets are to be processed, and a compiler generates a configuration for a PISA chip, or a programmable target in general. For example, the programmer might program the switch to be a top-of-rack switch, a firewall, or a load-balancer; and might add features to run automatic diagnostics and novel congestion control algorithms.

The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
